OK Outlaws, I'll meet up with you guys as well. Are we meeting up at Union Station or farther down the line?
I suppose I can purchase the day pass and back track three stations. We should see about meeting inside the westside entrance of Union Station that faces Olvera street. Where the newstand and the traxx restaurant are at.
I could meet you guys at the Union Station between 9-9:30 am. We could have a little group then we can then take the train ride to Hollywood.
Let's set it up for a meetup at 9:30am at Union Station in front of the Traxx Cafe. I just spoke with the Union Ultras and many of their US loyal supporters would like to join us for the meetup at the station and the march to the viewing party. Is that cool?
Thats perfectly fine, Just let then know to leave the club gear at home. Ill look forward to meeting you guys. Carlos AOLA
Lets freak out some Metro riders. Who knows, maybe we'll convert a few riders and convince them to join us.
Unless work decides to deny my day off (fingers SO crossed), I'll be there with my 1950 throwback and a scarf of some kind. Which really isn't a good idea in the LA heat but what the hell!
No problem Carlos. I had a few people ask me if they could buy AO t-shirts at the party. Will you have a few to sell on gameday? I'm looking forward to seeing an army of USA supporters at Union Station.
For those Riding the Red Line to Hollywood this Saturday, we'd like to move the Union Station meet up time to 9am. Would that be an inconvenience to anyone?
A buddy of mine and i are getting up early and taking the silver line from artesia transit station to downtown. Were hoping to catch some early games at LA live then head out to the bar on the red line as well see all you there.
FYI - I know everyone's meeting at Capital for the USA games, but a friend of mine is from South Africa and a bartender at Happy Endings Bar and Grill on Sunset and they will be open 24 hours a day during the World Cup showing all games with drink specials. Thought I'd throw that out there for anyone in the Hollywood area. Free parking, drink specials, etc.
We shouldn't. Not that we would have before the time change. The trip from Union Station to Hollywood and Vine should take about 20 minutes or so. The first available train leaves at 9:13am. Also, for everyone joining us who has never ridden on the Red Line before, one way tickets are $1.25, and Day Passes are $5. Either of those can be purchased on your way down (literally) to the red line station.
