    Why not right?

Btw, can I buy tickets for a match that coincides with another match that I have tickets for? I plan to return the tickets for one of the matches but since the return option will not be available till late april (I think), FIFA SHOULD allow people to buy tickets for the same day. Does anyone know anything about this?

    Yes, he's wrong!

The tickets have the details of the match on them (but not necessarily who's playing) and the seat that's allocated. This can't be determined until the end of the group phase when each team has either (a) finished top of the group or been knocked out, or (b) come second.

Your England fan has forgotten going to a ticket centre to collect his knockout-round tickets.

    well, that wasn't very fun....

I thought there would be a list of which games were available, but it was the same style as the random draw rounds.

anyway, put in my application for two more group stage games, and i guess we'll see what happens.

Applied for the exact same matches as last time and this time I notified the credit card company that I am expecting this charge, so hopefully it doesnt raise a fraud alert.

Anyone know how long it takes to find out if you are successful?

IIRC they gave TST holders their three first round tickets and a voucher which you had to present at any the stadium ticket centres to collect your remaning tickets.

Anyone having trouble requesting England-Algeria? I've been in the system since the second it opened and it's not giving me the option to request tickets, but it's not one of the matches FIFA said would be unavailable.

This is what FIFA originally said: "Additional information regarding the fourth sales phase: tickets are available at this stage for 53 of the 64 matches. Matches 5, 11, 37, 45, 54, 56, 59, 60, 61, 62 and 64 are not available in this phase."

But according to this article, it's not match #11 that's sold out (Italy-Paraguay) but England-Algeria (#23). "'Eleven matches out of the 64 Fifa World Cup matches will not be available at this stage,' said Fifa’s head of World Cup ticketing sub-committee Horst Schmidt. The matches are: 5 – England vs USA; 23 – England vs Algeria, 37 – Slovenia vs England; 45 – Portugal vs Brazil; 54 – Round of 16 at Ellis Park, Johannesburg; 56 – Round of 16 at Cape Town."

Damn. Oh well. Think any will be available in phase 5 for this match?

Hmm, I had 1 Argentina TST7 and I was just able to apply for more - wouldn't let me apply in the last phase. How long till we find out? I don't want to end up with too many tickets ;- ).

Okay please help....If I order a 'not so good' team but I get the tst-7, and I assume as the team is not good that they will not make it past the next rounds....then what team do I end up watching after my team is eliminated? Also, does this mean I have guaranteed tickets for the final as I have tst-7? Many thanks

ps I only want final tickets so is this the only way?

You will end up following the winner of the group or the winner of the match if they get eliminated after the group stage and yes you will get to watch all 7 games including the final.

I'm sure there will be tickets available sometime as tickets get returned and sponsors don't take all of their allocation.

I ended up getting tickets to the semi-final (Germany-Italy) four years ago in the final phase, so anything is possible.

Why are they showing some of the sold-out matches in the match list? I can see the final match in the list. Can't apply for it though cuz the category option is disabled. So, why do they show it in the match list?! What's the logic here?

there won't be any more available, pretty sure of that.

To be honest I thought it was a mistake. But after reading it was available i was excited - thanks for wasting my time FIFA.

It's pretty infuriating trying to support england, not only do u get a diabolical number of tickets, but they are sold to the whole world to sell on to england fans at 10 times the price. THanks FIFA you f***wits!!

Got in 4 minutes before 12:00 CET. It showed Semis and Finals as options but I couldn't choose a ticket category for these and couldn't apply. I did apply for QF Match 58, 1 ticket CAT1, hope that goes through, then all I'll need is two Semi and on Final ticket. for the big games I want.

Damn shame we can't apply for TSTs of other nations. I have a USA Supporter's Section set of tix all the way to the finals but if they get knocked out any games they don't reach means I don't get tix to so I need back up tix! Maybe oh maybe the USA can go all the way and then i'll be set...

Any idea about what the deal might be with TST7s in this phase especially for teams like Argentina where the group games are open.

Also, how long did it take to find out during phase II?

    Best,

Actually that seems much more logical. Italy - Paraguay sold out made no sense.

FIFA will be selling more tickets as they become available during this phase, so if I were you I would be checking their ticketing page often, very often.

Probably they were too lazy to revamp the entire site and just decided to go along with the same template used in previous phases. A new one like the one they used in Germany 2006 would have been very welcomed.

Don't lose hope - surely more tickets will be available later. Unsold tickets from the Hospitality packages, travel agencies and sponsors are yet to be returned to FIFA.

My brother will be contributing 3 Eng vs Algeria tickets back into the system soon. We both applied and both got them for some reason (even using the same names passport details etc) so there will be at least 3! :)
