I am sorry if this has been asked before (I looked through the last 20-odd pages and couldn't find an answer), but I have 2x Cat 1 to the Quarter Finals in Brasilia (the one may potentially be Argentina v Portugal/Belgium ) and was psyched to go but have had to cancel because of financial reasons.

I am trying to sell the tickets but didn't ask for delivery to my home country so can I ask the forum peeps advice on the best way to sell these tix?

1) If I put them up for sale on FIFA's site on April 15th, do I lose the tix if the tix don't sell? i.e. would it be a situation where FIFA takes the tix and then if they are not sold, I won't be able to get the tix back?
2) If the sold tickets have to be picked up in Brazil, is there any way to arrange a sale with a seller we don't personally know (and therefore trust with our credit card)?

I think you could only transfer them? But I do not know when FIFA allowed transfers and when they don't. Also you would have to organise with the person you transfer them to how they will pay you will not get the money over FIFA. If you chose not to have them trasfered and you sell them back to FIFA... FIFA can sell them to whoever they want.

 

Thanks for the info Jupal. Reading the FIFA site, I believe we can only transfer (in this case) one of the tix as under the transfer rules, the buyer's tix cannot be transferred.

I don't have an issue as to who FIFA resells the tix to, but in the event they are put up for sale and they don't move, does that mean i lose the tix (and the money i paid for it? ) ie can I pull it off the forum to try and sell it myself again or am I resigned to losing the tix and the money...

Does anyone also have any idea (from past world cups) if tix generally move quickly in the FIFA resale site?

It sucks to cancel plans and douse the excitement surrounding this trip and sucks even more to not have a surefire way to sell these tix..

Didn't go down that road myself and am looking to organise a trade and am curious to see how much time is available for my possible seller to post them across the world to me. Concern being I am leaving in late May for Sth America so wouldn't want them sitting in my letter box back home whilst I am in Brazil

 

Hi I have an Australian Friend who will no longer be in Brazil during the round16 who wishes to sell at face value. The Rd16 Australia TST4 portion. It would have to be a local handover after the group position is known as realistically it would be Australia eliminated and the ticket would be active for match 51 at Fortaleza. If a miracle happens and Australia finish second it could turn into Match 49 against brazil.......Please PM me and ill put you in contact direct.

 

FIFA claims sometime in April. I dont expect to see anything until mid-May at the earliest. Hope I'm wrong.

 

I think those 2 packages comes with basic liquids( beer, wine and soft drinks) and light snacks. No meals.

unless your ticket is for one of the matches that is still avaiable for sale on fifa.com in this very moment (not so attractive group matches) they are most likely going to be able to resell it i wouldn't worry too much about that you will lose 10% of the costs however

Even though you have the TST 4 and Australia gets kicked out, doesn't that mean it will transfer to the team that comes first from that group?
