I will benefit just by the fact that this Renata (for example) will not invest as much time as me to find out all the real information given by true fans. These are the want-to-be touts I was refering to, the professionals are not going to buy today, but its these want-to-be touts that appeared since the Veja article that have killed my lasts hopes of attending the finals with my family.

At the very least, let me hope and imagine they will not have access to all this info in 2018!

Ha Ha yeah we play cricket and rugby and hockey and many many other sports. But to date we only lost 3-2 to the Dutch not 3-0 and Spain was well, very much a sad sad end to the Reigning Champions.

This is just me signing off with my 2p of thanks. I am truly grateful for the existence of this board and the friends I have made and deals that have gone through well. And even for those negotiations that broke down, it was still rooted in pleasant comms between football lovers.

In total I have attended 13 matches (thirteen!) during this world cup! wow! Had to take 12 flights and 3 overnight buses! And slept in 3 different airports, lol!

Brazil is truly an amazing and beautiful country with a beautiful and hospitable people, despite the language barriers, once I made the effort to learn some Portuguese (+google translate) I made a lot of headway, this was the perfect host country, beautiful state-of-the-art stadiums and my experience was it was organized (and booze inside the games, unlike anal rules in UK).

By the way, this was my first ever world cup...


See you in Russia??? (highly unlikely, having lived there for several years, I know all too well about skin-head racism and violence unfortunately, being a person of colour)

See you in Qatar??? (doubtful, but yet optimistic, the human race has 8 years to invent and design some facilities to combat the heat, lol, and the money is there!)

In other words, this was the one to be there for, and those of you that were there as well would probably agree.

Going to be so hard to get tickets. From memory the uefa tsts return your money when teams are knocked out too

 

We can play smart and start a thread and help each other with other known good guys to ensure Tickets across applications from the pool of members we know and trust........Count me in

 

I would vote for an invite only WhatsApp group. We have seen how BigSoccer threada can get hijacked. WhatsApp has been great for the Rio World Cup group, for both tickets and socialising. Keeps things private and we make sure that only known solid citizens get in. The only downside, limited to 50 people. Happy to try and administer it if people think it's a good idea.

Euro 2012 was a piece of cake to get tickets for in Poland and Ukraine.

You think France will be impossible hey? I say well worth a go !

 

Tickets for France in general won't be too bad. However if you want to go to games after the draw involving the bigger teams it will be difficult. If supporting a country just try for the tst but if not then pick your games before the draw. Euros are generally easier than a World Cup however the likes of England,Holland,Germany will bring huge support.

If Ireland make it I should be ok for our tickets. We brought 30,000 to Poland so would easily bring more to France if we qualify. Anyway I will look to go to a few games in the stadiums I haven't seen a game in before.

Yes, FIFA says it takes 30 days or so to get the refund.
