Yeah, I agree. I said it wasn't all Casillas' fault on my Facebook status.

However, you know as well as I do, if the goalkeeper is going to stray that far from his net, he'd better clear the ball.

Keith is in Germany and I'm in NY. It's after 12 here so despite the fact that I'm syill at work, a drink wouldn't kill me either. :)

    By the way...

Historically, none of the WC winner have lost their opening match.

The young lady and I used to actually live quite close to one another when she was still here in Deutschland. But of course, that was back when I lived in Vilseck too.

Not saying this for Spain, but there is a first time for everything......

54 though i made a whole load of substitutions @ -3 points per go

tomorrows where i get some points back i hope .. made mueller el capitano and added poldi .. now watchem fire blanks :(

germany aside ... some of the "big" teams have been the most dull dull dull and disappointing even argentina failed to set the world alight ..

brazil to were less than exciting ...

maybe today arg and messi will show some class and... socre more than 1??? :D

When I saw Gomez, I said: "what is Gomez going do?"..he answered my question before he even stepping the pitch, really.

On to the next match: Slovenia has come to play!

I think today showed just how dependent the Germany team is on Podolski for scoring.

If he doesn't score, no one does.

will kiessling get a chance at all now gomez has shown 2 .. blown 2 ..

im assuming cacau will start alongside poldi against .. ghana

is it only me who thinks schweinsteiger would be best served going forward more and less sitting back .. swap him with khedira role wise

schweini just seems ... like a butter knife trying to shop a steak .. can get it done but isnt as effective

on another note LOVE the black and yellow there adidas seems to have stuck on gloves and boots at this WC :) even neuer looked like a bee :D

..onto USA ... slovenia threw it away they stepped off the gas and blew it ..

i am liking the guy who scored their first goal (gone and forgot his name.. too lazy to google :D ) .. and koren their mid and captain .. and brecko is looking half decent ..

Birsa .. thats the slovenians name

    hmmm novakovic ... next topic?

i believe this loss is due to the killing subs tt loew brought in.really ridiculous. bringing out both ozil and muller. what was he thinking.well i do blame the referee for sending off klose but i oso blame loew for this total stoopig subs

    I partially disagree.

I do believe Löw's subs were silly. I think Löw shows too much faith in Podolski. In that match, the "Bundesliga Podolski" showed up.

The "International Podolski" is deadly, but the "Bundesliga Podolski" is nearly useless.

However, I don't think there was much of anything Löw could have done that would have worked.

It wasn't Özil or Müller's day either. As a matter of fact, if you were to judge his recent performances for Germany in goal chances, Özil couldn't hit the water if he fell out of a f#cking boat.

The way I see it, Germany was clearly the better team. However, it just wasn't their day.

Sometimes that happens and it isn't anyone's fault.

As I said on the Bayern thread, "The sun don't shine on the same dog's ass every afternoon."

Everyone has bad days. Including Germany.
