The site I used to rely on for live streaming of many football matches across different regions (bingsports) has for some reason gone offline since last week. I am not sure if I will be able to watch all the upcoming matches I would like to watch, although a few will be shown live on Iranian television and sites. In any case, it would be great if you offer (along with any pre-game analysis and news) live updates of the CAF and UEFA playoffs here. This thread can also be used for discussion relating to the IC playoffs as well. For now, however, we have the following playoff matches to be played on 24 and 25 March: March 24: Portugal v Turkey Italy v N. Macedonia March 25: DR Congo v Morocco Mali v Tunisia Cameroon v Algeria Ghana v Nigeria Egypt v Senegal
Algeria will return on Friday to the venue where they experienced a shattering group stage exit at AFCON just two months ago. The Japoma Stadum in Douala. Correct, that stadium with the horrible pitch. Cameroon usually doesn't play in this stadium but I guess they chosed it for the playoffs in the hope it gives them the psychological edge over Algeria. I think Cameroon will take full advantage of their home game. In this particular setting I don't see Algeria doing well at all.
Nobody is showing it in Germany. You have to serach for some random streams. I have IP TV. Sportklub is basically showing all relevant qualifiers. Even CAF, AFC and CONCACAF.
sportdigital is showing the caf playoffs and dazn the uefa ones. but yes. streaming from abroad is always an option.
My finalised UEFA Playoff predictions. There you got it. Path A Wales 1 - 1 Austria => Wales to win on penalties Scotland 2 - 1 Ukraine Wales 0 - 1 Scotland Scotland qualify for the World Cup Path B Sweden 2 - 0 Czechia Poland 2 - 1 Sweden (after extra time) Poland qualify for the World Cup Path C Italy 2 - 1 North Macedonia (after extra time) Portugal 1 - 0 Turkey Portugal 0 - 1 Italy Italy qualify for the World Cup
I'm watching Portugal v Italy, but other than Wales leading Austria 1:0, the rest of the UEFA playoffs are apparently scoreless at HT including Italy v N Macedonia.
Never underestimate Balkan teams. They can achieve whatever they want. They just have to believe in themselves and be disciplined.
Portugal was not so close to losing either. Turkey had a lot of chances and Yilmaz skied a pen 10 minutes before the end. Still, it would take another miracle from Macedonia to beat them.
It's a shame that UEFA didn't rig the playoffs to help Portugal AND Italy both go through, because then we could have had Portugal AND North Macedonia.
For whatever reason, Italy just isn't producing world-class players any more. You can see it with how badly Serie A clubs have performed in the Champions League, not just with the poor performances of the Azzurri. Heck, the last Italian non-defender to finish in the top ten of the Ballon D'Or voting is Pirlo. They haven't had a world-class striker since Totti retired from the national team after the 2006 World Cup. Not coincidentally, they haven't made it to the knockout stages of the World Cup since then either.
they have a bullish CW in Scamacca not even called up and after Immobile was subbed off, they played without a real striker. they naturalize all those players since balotelli but since them everythijg goes down the spiral. 2010 and 2014 first round good bye 2018 and 2022 not even maki g the finals. abyssmal.
