    Upcoming friendlies :

10 January UAE - China in Dubai Challenge Cup

12 January China - Hamburg SV (Germany) in Dubai Challenge Cup

    20 or 22 (?) January China - Lebanon

    28 January China - Syria

Is it confirmed when and where China will play the last two friendlies ?

It's a Chinese national team World Cup qualifier! Why would it not be on CCTV5?

I hope they don't call the likes of Sun Jihai and Zheng Zhi back for stupid matches like these, even though Sun Jihai is not even playing in Man City.

nope the overseas r not called back coz this is not official game date for international games. and i think its better to leave them play in their club than call them for meaningless match like that. But i really hope ZZ and Sun will be call by petrovic for the WCQ games

WCQ games are a different story. Seriously, how are we going to solve the Iraq and Australia puzzel? I don't think we'll be inthe next round. Iraq is on the rise and China is on the fall. 5 years ago we would have owned Iraq, now it's a different story.

Iraq in group is like having iran, probably worse.

Dont forget Qatar...they are pretty good too

think about the good side is that the qualification group will give china more playing time against strong opponents (more so than the past few years, asian cup included) ..

...this qualification experience is a mini world cup for china.

i think china will finish last in group lol

I'm rooting for Iraq now... I want to see them make it to the World Cup, it will do far more good than if China makes it, not to mention save the hair that i will pull out watching China and the rise in blood pressure...

Call Sun Jihai... hes rotting away on the bench at City, at least this gets him some games in cuz he aint playing for City this season, might as well just use him for Qualifiers since his City career is all but over, hes simply not good enough for a top 6 club.

A poor match. We failed to create any chance. The midfielders could not give enough support to the striker.

Did UAE have its full A squad? If this is our B- squad, that means we're playing mostly full time subs and reserve players. but it doesn't matter, our A squad isn't that much better. The only difference is Zheng Zhi, Sun Jihai, Shao Jiayi, Dong Fangzhuo, and Yu Hai. Does Shi Jun count?????

Thanks! Btw, Hamburg just scored through Van der Vaart on a freekick that deflected on a defender

China is hopeless. With mediocre old guards like Zhao Junzhe still in the NT, it shows there's is a severe lack of new talents in China football these days.

btw I betted on Hamburg to win at 1.28 which is pretty good odds i think.

Zhao Junzhe is out of position. He should be in the middle rather than at the right flank.

It's not only that. His passing is horrible, is too negative (i.e. always passing either backwards or horizontally), and his marking is not close enough when on defence.

I'm switching to watch the Olympic team. ******** the NT. They're hopeless.
