    Hi All,

I wasn't sure how to approach this so I thought I'd ask those of you who have travelled to a World Cup previously.

    1. What can I book/take care of now before tickets go on sale?
    2. What's the best way to get tickets?

    Thanks to everyone in advance,
    Nick

    1) Save money.
    2) Order them when the time comes.

I guess it's never too early to book accommodation, but two years in advance is a little spastic. At least wait until the draw is made so you know where your favorite team(s) is/are playing. That's usually 6 months ahead of the tourney, plenty of time to come up with a plan and call around and find a place to stay.

The last two WC's I've ordered through Sams Army. It's usually first come, first served. You can also enter the lottaries and all that crap that FIFA uses to dole tickets out to the general public. Or you can go black market. That seemed to be ok in France and S Korea, but I think going this route in Germany might be more difficult.

I tend to find SoccerVacations a bit expensive.

I'll prolly only use them for the US at Mexico qualifier should both teams make it that far.

and keep them as last resort if can't get US tickets.
