I created a thread not long ago in which I said that if I found the link to said posters, I would place it here for everyone to see. Lo and behold I did! So here is the link my bigsoccer brethren. Enjoy! http://ajuaa.com/news/imagenesypalabras/31262-Carteles-del-mundial-Sudafrica-2010.html
My thoughts exactly. I mean the Austrailia poster just looks.....wrong. (for lack of a better word) The Mexican poster looks like they are adoring Emperador Aguirre XD
All are some heroic/mythical figure. Except South Africa. Denmark is strange, including dude with pink cleats. Italian guy in front obviously doesn't know how to hold a shield with lion nearby. USA clearly has better unity than shown in the picture (where they would be rowing in circles).
Australia's is ummm....unique. Not sure that I'd call it an epic/mythical figure. North Korea's is totally "Robot Unicorn Attack"
Apparently they have movie sized versions of these around. I called ESPN in interest to buy one and ESPN said FIFA owns the rights to them.
These are great where can I find them? Anybody else know where to get WC art work? There used to be a guy in IL - Chicago I think, that used to paint or draw WC maps of the host country in old map formats, pointing out the host cities. Looked really cool, but can't find them anywhere.
Funny, because ESPN brought out the posters during our England/USA viewing party in Seattle. You might want to call your local ESPN office.
