Don't think I can embed someone's reddit video (and don't have another source) - but this was the Ronaldo situation that was most frustrating

He rolls the defender and could have put it on the penalty spot for a brilliant assist.......but instead turns back towards two defenders and hits it at the keeper.

just getting around to watching the first half now on replay

i like the confidence that we have on the ball. we play with style, im not sure if its cause chile are currently garbage but i like what i saw in that first 30 mins

selfishness on full display when ronaldo didn't lay off. went for the spectacular when we could've been up by one early. i really, really hope he puts the ego aside for this tournament

the first two games are not to be overlooked but against colombia, i feel we're well matched after today. beating them will be huge given how hyped they are

We had plenty of chances and made them look like kids for the majority of the game. Our crossing was absolutely dreadful was my only issue.

In that game he was slow, clumsy and turned the ball over every time it came to him. Maybe he should start more central. Since he can still finish

For Nigeria friendly I’m gonna say this XI:

    Semedo, Veiga, Araújo, Dalot
    R Neves, Samu, Bruno
    Trincão, Félix, Guedes

Another opportunity to see Colombia in action tonight

The scuffle right before the half wasnt exactly handled the way I hoped

The two guys sent off weren't even involved in the initial tackle. You can see the guy who went to ground pushing up with his legs on cancelo and I can get behind leao going to war but this kinda shit is what we're gonna see against Colombia no doubt. given it was a warm up game, I assume the ref wasn't going to tolerate this aggressive behaviour at all so that's why maybe both guys saw red

But still, gotta be more low key than that, can't start throwing punches in response to this Latin American 'flair'

Uzbekistan looked totally solid against Holland today. Could have actually beat them but got robbed of a clear handball in the box.. Then the rent a ref gave the Dutch a strange penalty in the 96th minute. Holland missed about 5 sitters right on net. Worse than us choking our clear chances away..

If the first two games aren't easy wins, you know the tournament is likely to be a disappointment.

Yup, another Euro 2024 stinker. My lord that tournament was awful for us, I am rewatching the Slovenia game. We couldn't score a goal against Slovenia man.. Scraped by against Czechia, randomly turned up and dominated Türkiye then got r*ped by the mighty Georgia.. Thank god our last game is against Colombia and a MUST WIN because every tournament, Portugal decides to lose their last game on purpose I swear.. They never win their last group stage game.. Last time was 2014 World Cup vs Ghana and then I believe 2006 World Cup we actually won every game in GS..

If we finish third in our group we don't deserve to go to KO stage

I like he's starting the midfield trio out but I am not sure what the rationale of not trying out your full Starting XI for the last possible time before the tournament is is.

Could be more interested in seeing how possible players coming off the bench perform.

This guy's obsession with Semedo is beyond me.

Other than the fullbacks, that looks like the likely starting XI for the opening game.

Think that would have to include Bernardo. I also think Veiga might slot in ahead of Inacio.

Good positioning but he could've stopped and slotted it in the right corner. Not sure why he went at it first go.
