I'm wondering in what way the outcome of this worldcup is going to be determined by bribing.
What do we have to offer?

Weather might be a tad bit warm in all those locations.

Oranje playing v. Norway and Ecuador in March to warm up for the W.C. I don’t know enough about Ecuador, but Haaland and co. are definitely a great test (especially for the defensive unit!)

Probably hot and humid in Dallas and Houston while hot and dry in Kansas City. The semi final and final are at 3 pm. Probably in the mid to high 30 deg C on average. Somewhere I read that FIFA schedule afternoon instead of evening game for a better time for European/Africa or else it will be quite late for those time zones.

  7. Liverpool's standing in the epl is due to the shitty performance of the defense, VvD included.
Koeman needs to take a good look at Liverpool matches AND have an intense talk with Slot about the reasons of VvD sloppy Joe attitude.
    VvD is in.
A year or 2.5 ago I was adressing the same issue with VvD, with lousy performances in the Orange Squad, so much I even wanted him dumped from the selection. He then resurrected and last season under Slot was the invincible one again.
This season it all reversed again. Still months to go to the start of the WC, but it needs constant monitoring and keeping track of alternatives aswell.

I think VvD has an instagram and x accounts. Maybe find a "constructive and positive" feedback for him, like "improving your form to win the first World Cup for Netherlands and make history" motivation talk. I think Ronald Koeman also have those 2 accounts. ;) Don't irritate them and then it will backfire.

Dallas and Houston have indoor stadiums. The temperature won't be a problem.

Having watched every Liverpool match this season Virgil is no longer Superman, but he’s got little help on both sides of him as Konate and Kerkez have been awful.
There is definitely some drop off, but the man is still at a higher level than most in my opinion.
Virgil is still quite dominant in the air, and great on the ball, but he’s not going to be effective if he’s getting dragged out of position or having to sprint long distances.
The anti Virgil crowd blames him far too much for the team’s loss of form, but he’s still more than capable of doing great things.
He also never shirks the media, which is not something easy to deal with, but as a Captain he’s well spoken, and pretty honest.
Oranje will need to be extremely focused, and dialed in defensively out of possession, and limit spaces between the lines, and be aggressive against set pieces.

  11. Yup, in the ManCity match, the first epl match I watched in more than a decade, that Konate dude was bloody awful.

We have plenty of humidity in Kansas City and as said above, this match is the only one outdoors. Arrowhead has very little shade but starting at 6pm local will help a lot.

First time posting on this forum, I was really hoping the Dutch would play here in my hometown so this is the one match I'm planning on going to. Just a question of how much tickets cost.

Look forward to all the Dutch fans trying barbeque in Texas before they enjoy even better barbeque in Kansas City :)

Kees Smit!!:cool: The midfield is stacked nicely. The forward... not so much. Too bad Summerville is injured, he would have been a useful addition.

Surinam just lost to Bolivia in the playoffs 2-1. Lots of Dutch players for Surinam including Vaessen, Joel Piroe, Stefano Denswill, Cherry, van Gelderen (goal scorer) and Sheraldo Becker.. Too bad, it would have been nice to see them make it to the WC.

    • It is a friendly and it looks to me that players don't play 100%, maybe 60-70%.
    • Malen movement is much better than Memphis, but like Memphis he missed chances.
    • Koop as the right winger? I mean he is ok but he does not have speed. Why not Lang or Frimpong? I'm lost of what Koeman is trying.
    • Brobbey and Weghorst for Malen and Gakpo? Is Koeman trying to hide his strategy by confusing opponents watching the game because he successfully convinced me with these subs.
    • After down 0-1 and beginning of 2nd half I saw some urgencies and better football.
    • Nice to see Smit's debut.
    • I have a feeling Summerville may not make the squad (but he should) as there is no more friendly game to test.
    • I'm looking forward to the next Ecuador game enthusiastically.
