Dude had also only been coach since February. They’ve had like 7-8 coaches over this last cycle. o_O

It's wild of them to think a coaching change is going to get them a result against Japan or the Netherlands.

I may be in the minority, but I’ve enjoyed South American teams struggling so far. Hearing how this would be their tournament was a bit exhausting. I really hope it continues to tomorrow and Algeria frustrate Argentina
I just do not enjoy the theatrics of South American sides. Most other confederations have it too - especially Concacaf - but conmebol does it to a degree that is just so off putting. Especially when you compare it against their actual soccer talent. Just use that. Don’t do the bullshit

Is it bad to be cheering for both Algeria and Senegal tomorrow?

I'm with you, the rise of Africa is welcome too. Ecuador were hard done in their loss, they were better than Ivory Coast, but couldn't finish. On the other hand, Morocco were better IMO that Brazil.

Australia will be a tough test for the US. That winger is Fast AF. Our D is shaky. We'll give up a goal. Will we be able to get at that bunker D better than Turkey ? We are faster, and speed kills.

I’ve enjoyed seeing foreign fan reactions to their visit to the US. One guy from Germany is chronicling his adventures in Atlanta, Louisiana, and other places, and his reactions are great (lost his mind at what he could get at Waffle House at 1:00 am). But seeing England team get robbed before arriving, and then get greeted in Kansas City by a tornado warning, is my favorite so far. :ROFLMAO:

Ecuador is legit good, aside from the scoring part. Côte d’Ivoire only scored late as the defense was tired AF.

Fat Lukaku is my new favorite player. I pulled out my phone to joke with my brother about how much bigger he looks than the last time I saw him play, and he scored before I could finish writing the text.

    What a freaking legend

I keep hearing how good Ecuador is - and I can see it in the pieces they have - but they’re just so damn annoying in the “dark arts” of it. Not to mention a coach that was on the pitch constantly. I was hoping for a winger on the Ivory Coast team to go through him

I'm down with the south american teams and all those that abuse the dark arts of soccer not having good World Cup experiences. At least on the pitch.

That Almiron dive was next level and it will play over and over from folks that will never like the game. It's absolutely ridiculous. The only thing worse is the MOTHER ********ING COMMERCIALS!

******** YOU FOX. FOR EVERYTHING! it's bad enough they punish us with Lalas and Lloyd. ******** those two.

So far the World Cup has been absolutely amazing and I am pissed I let the rest of the stuff going on here in the upside down crush my excitement for the game. Bad Goob, bad.

I went to the Bosnia and Herzegovina practice at the Riot yesterday and what a great time to see so many fans there for a once in a lifetime experience to see their countries team practice. It was a fun time getting some interviews with fans.

Also, big RSL news. While I was pretending to be media hanging out with the actual media and RSL communications team, word is Diego Luna went and got veneers. That's right. You heard it first second hand here from a third rate media guy. And you thought the World Cup without Luna would be boring.

Wow. You went full on 15to32 there for a moment.

You should have him and medphys on standby when Brennan can’t make a podcast.

I have definite feelings about all things Fox "news" and the like. I am also 40 years in the construction industry with a very bad habit and talent for swearing. People ask me if I golf and I say No, I had to give up swearing. It's a process.

I was just referring to analyzing the game. I didn't grow up playing it. Always harder to learn when you didn't play. I also don't get to watch live much anymore. I'll be at the STL game though!

Messi casually receives a pass at the midstripe with no defender anywhere near him. He turns and dribbles to the top of the half-circle and laces it into the top back right corner. You could see the backline then basically telling the mids “You gotta mark that guy. We’ve gone over this a hundred times in meetings and training”
