Fox just did a piece on Canada’s Tajon Buchanan.
Can I just say how annoyed I still am that the first goal scored at LDC was by him and not a Crew player. And our first match there was a 2-2 draw.

What did I miss? This is the second thing I've seen referencing it in that way.

Herdman said something about how Canada was gonna go and f*** Croatia up. Probably should’ve kept that to himself.

What an intense ending. Ten minutes added. Red card to the coach of South Korea. Bonkers.

Best morning games of the Cup, hands down.

11 goals. Overcoming multiple goal deficits.

Though I thought Ghana's first should not have a counted due to a handball.

I’m going to miss logging on early in the morning to read your comments on the early matches.
    I’ll say!

    Intriguing if correct ..

The Belgian squad sounds like it is totally divided. Eden Hazard apparently had a massive row with Vertonghan and Lukaku had to separate them. Hazard and Trossard also hate each other and Courtois and De Bruyne have never liked each other

Brazil is scary good and, as is traditionally the case, its their defense that kills you while all the ball wizardry gets the attention.

They're rock solid across the back line which let's Casemiro ball hawk the entire match. Tough to beat.

Adidas have confirmed no contact was made between the World Cup matchball and Cristiano Ronaldo, thanks to a 500Hz IMU sensor and Connected Ball Technology housed in Adidas’s Al Rihla used in the tournament… [emoji102][emoji777]

It brought me back to 2002. Positive feelings going into today's must-win game.

I certainly have no positive memories about our 3rd group match in 2002. That whole remarkable storyline only happened because South Korea beat Portugal in a match that was, for them, pretty meaningless; otherwise, we'd have been knocked out at the group stage. Hopefully Berhalter has us mentally prepared for today's match far better than Arena had us prepared mentally for Poland 20 years ago.

Eh. I was trying not to bring up that game.

    Again, positive thoughts.

And Qatar sets a new standard for futility among WC host countries. Only South Africa in 2010 failed to get out of the group stage as a WC host country, but they were in a true group of death with Uruguay, Mexico and France, but earned 4 points, tied for 2nd, and only failed to advance on goal differential.

And then there's Qatar: 0 points, 1 goal, 7 conceded.

It's almost as though they never should have hosted this tournament.
