Socceroos trying to 'bounce back' at Qatar World Cup against Tunisia after French drubbing. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-11...ck-against-tunisia-france-world-cup/101699144
Great half from our boys, apart from the last 5 or so minutes we looked well in control and have a goal to show for it going into the 2nd half. But I do think we'll need at least another to get all 3 points. Cautiously optimistic!
Brilliant effort. Written off by everyone except themselves, (and the optimistic fan like me ) gets the win! Game on boys!
How the Socceroos can progress to the Round of 16 A look at every possible permutation of results that could decide Group D and determine the Socceroos' progression. https://www.sbs.com.au/sport/fifa-w...s9-FtPJuL9isSp-VuRVFDs_hDVcEK44mvSYlAK6bz1mYo
It's pretty simple. The best we can do is second place. Win and we're second. Draw and we're second unless Tunisia beat France. Lose and we go home (3rd or 4th doesn't matter).

Ha ha that's awesome! I will borrow that pun for later Anyhoo, wound up going to the game tonight as a fellow Bigsoccerer had a spare ticket. Anyway, here's some footage from the match. Leckie's not so lucky more skill goal is around the 1:24 mark... ironically got a ticket for the Argentina match so will see you guys again...
Oh and while I remember it, that ref. What a joke. How quick was he to award a penalty for nothing to Denmark, which he had to retract straight away because he was offside. I've never seen a penalty given so quickly for so little, except on (current) Ronaldo. Even all the 50/50 calls seemed to be going against us? Or was I that one eyed?
We've got Super Graham Arnold... He knows exactly what we need! Souttar at the back, Leckie in attack... All the way to round 16!
There is a prediction contest for the knockout stage. Whoever is interested feel free to join and predict the Round of 16 fixtures by naming the eight winners with (N) => in normal time (E) => in extra time (P) => on penalties Post# 3218 https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/m...redictions-what-do-you-think.2120305/page-129
10 September 2019: Kuwait 0-3 Australia [insert 23 more matches + logistical hindrances and a rollercoaster of emotions here] 3 December 2022: Argentina 2-1 Australia Fair play to Arnold and all the lads. What a journey.
Tough luck Australia, but a great effort all round. Saw the Peru game + the Denmark match as well here. You guys had one hell of a run and always add something to these tournaments. Good luck in the Asian Cup next year here too.... Anyway, here's some highlights from the stadium. Go ahead and delete if you don't want here, but thought I'd just go ahead and post. This was the same stadium as the Peru match btw. Hopefully we see you again next year.
