Which would avoid the problem both teams bunkering... which, to be fair, didn't quite happen in this one.

Will be awkward politically next round for Japan when they meet South Korea.

Farewell, sweet Japan-Korea joke. You will die in the drafts folder, killed 3-1 in penalties

That game provided the excitement that was lacking over the weekend. I was hoping Japan would get the upset.

While I admire the spirit of revolution, this seems like a lot of work when you could just pay $4.99 for one month of Peacock.

Not in the traditional way, like Abramovich and Saudi Arabia, but there is an element. They are trying to diversity their economy, but they want everybody to ignore their laws/traditions/customs which are non-"western." They are not hiding, but they are saying "it's not what you think" when it is what we think.

The militaristic national anthems sound like they could have lyrics like:

    If we don't win
There may be a coup d'etat
    La-di-da, La-di-da, La-di-da, da-da-da-da

Once again proving that VAR exists only to give forwards more opportunities to cheat.

Defender whiffs, forward dives, and yet VAR is silent. But if a ball''s protons interact with a defender's electrons on a 40mph shot, it's a penalty.
