    ??????

you missed her point. It’s the WOMEN’S World Cup, and it’s strange for the Saudis to be a sponsor.

Agree. It is even more absurd than giving the WC to Qatar.

I also see CP's point. I mean, you're right: it's about as absurd as you can get. And totally not surprising, thanks to FIFA

Good, zog, man, why does EVERY thread about soccer in the US have to be about Christian Pulisic!!!:mad::mad:
This discussion is about that "other" savior of American Soccer, Alex Morgan!

Oh, different CP, you say? Sorry.:notworthy:

Y'all gon' pressure that man into a heart attack.

Just let him play for Chelsea and quit propping him up as a savior when he plays for the US. R16. We are an R16 nation, and that's not likely to change anytime soon.

Technically, they don't. They could just let him suit up and not give him any time. But they probably need him.

We get put out of the World Cup in the Round of 16, or we don't get out of the group stage to begin with. The 2002 Cup was really the only exception to this, and we were gifted a snakebitten Mexico in the R16 to reach the quarterfinals.

Round of 16. In other words we can get out of the group stage but then get eliminated right away - just like Mexico usually does.

edit: Auriaprottu just beat me to it

  16. Isnot this the moment someone plunges a gladius between your shoulder blades?

^^ Very difficult technique to put a gladius between someone’s shoulder blades.

The abdomen and rib cage were the main targets of a gladius. Only a movie version of Achilles could use it to deliver a lethal blow between the shoulder blades.

He is too much of a tyrant to be a national team coach. He has been the head coach of KC for what feels like 12 years already?

Some writer said whatever big name (likely European or S. American) who's brave enough to take on the petty inbreds at US Soccer should get the job. But I assume a few more Americans will be interviewed first. What's Joe-Max Moore doing?

I’d prefer that Berhalter not get his job back, but holy shit are the Reynas even worse than I imagined. Claudio’s complaint about female refs should follow him around for awhile.
