http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/26/brazil-world-cup-protesters-police-sao-paulo-rally It looks like there may be a need for a very heavy-handed police presence in some areas of Brazil for the World Cup. Anonymous Rio has opposed the games in Brazil.
Interesting shift. We've been lead to believe that protests until now were not directly opposed to the World Cup/ Olympics/ etc. It was more about protestors using the platform where they had a worldwide audience (I'm sure we all saw the coverage of riots during the Confed Cup last year).
Riots expected in Brazil for the Cup, and now they are saying that there may be "black widows" bombers loose in the Sochi security zone. Crazy times.
None of these demonstrations are going to matter after someone suicide bombs a hotel or restaurant in Sochi.
