I thought Colombia looked rather mediocre, just finished the few chances they had, and Greece isn't exactly the best.

Watched the Uruguay vs Costa Rica upset. What a game. Uruguay thought it was going to be a walk in the park and got owned.

Maxi Pereira must of thought he was still playing for Benfica's on his nasty kick to the Costa Rican player. In Portugal, the ref wouldn't even call his kick a foul. With real refs, straight red :p

    Agree totally...
Maxi Pereira is the dirtiest player in our league and never get's red's or even yellow's.
That was probably his last World Cup game, suspended for the rest of the first round.

On the way back to or from the Juventus game Amorim was doing a interview with the players on the plane and he asked Maxi 'So how is it that you never got sent off this season (2013/14)' :ROFLMAO:

He is a excellent player apart from the hacking.

Had a friend who loved Pirlo and just thought he was vastly overrated. His games against Benfica were average, but, today with England letting dictate he was a delight and yes...

Best free kick of the WC (have not had many good ones, though).

For a Swiss game its not that bad.

Qualifiers, the Swiss are like the Greeks, in tournaments they get shown up.

Ecuador looks dangerous on the counter attacks.

Ecuador looks like an African team.

A lot of speed and some individual talent, but it's a very individualized game.

Terrible marking and goalkeeping on that goal. The Ecuador goalie isn't very good

Yeah I wonder how many people he pissed off with his opinion. His thought process doesn't include any positives that Portugal may have. To him, it's Germany all day, and the other two beside him seemingly agree and move onto the next topic lol

Messi plays terrible all game, but of course we'll have to watch that 1 goal 100 times tonight.

I wasn't impressed at all by Argentina. Not in the slightest. Even Di Maria was subpar.

They have no midfield. As I've been saying, they'll go down to the first good European team the play.

Messi scored with a type of goal that is his bread and butter, give and go and a diagnol run across the box. top teams will look to prevent that, as he scores 80 % of his goals in 3-4 main types of ways (Pentalies, tap ins, give and go, and diagnol runs across the top of the box and shoot exactly what he did today)

they did not impress me that much, but its only the first game. and Bosnia is a good side, we know that ourselves.

This is what happens when a network just hires anybody just for the sake of having an English accent.

Great finish to the Swiss x Ecuador game. Nice to see goal line technology in play in the France drubbing of Honduras. Argentina was not impressive but got the job done vs Bosnia. Messi was stripped of the ball repeatedly especially in the first half. I think he believed he could walk through Bosnia at will. Luckily for him his shot was tipped in by a Bosnian defender. Without that goal Messi would have gone goalless and would have repeated his 2010 Tournament.

So far this world cup has been very entertaining. Only 1 half out every single game has gone goalless. And that half was the first half of Mexico vs Cameroon where Dos Santos was robbed of 2 clear goals!
