Att: English Fans In your own personal view who would you like to see in the starting lineup for World Cup 2006
Rooney and Owen up front. Definitely. Must have Gerrard in centre midfield and maybe Beckham on the right, although it's quite possible he'll lose his place to Pennant or someone like that by then. Rio Ferdinand in central defence (?) Apart from those few it depends on who emerges or plays themself into contention.
World Cup 2006 I think Beckham will be done by then. He's not all he's cracked up to be. As for who is in his place? Who knows, three years away. What are the odds they don't qualify for Euro '04??
Re: World Cup 2006 Beckham is 27 years old and is in peak condition. he is planning to be around until 2010 nevermind 2006. How come yanks have to write these lame remarks on every thread on this forum?? *laughs with contempt*
Assuming we qualify of course, perhaps........ GK: Kirkland RB: Johnson CB: Rio CB: Terry LB: McEverley/Bridge DM: Butt CM: Beckham CM: Gerrard CM: Thompson STR: Owen STR: Rooney
Good team Doctor Stamen, However there are two players you have missed out, though I'm sure it's quite by accident. The first is the legendary footballer with his own cult of greatness.....Phil Neville. The second is me. I know I'm not a professional yet, but I have faith in the fact that I am the greatest footballer in the history of the universe, so there. If we're being serious though: Robinson Johnson Ferdinand Campbell Ashley Cole Beckham Joe Cole Gerrard Pennant Owen Rooney Manager: Bobby Robson There - now I know what you're gonna say, but don't worry. I'll be available for World Cup Africa 2010. So no worries. Revelian
Bob Robson as manager ?. Are you going to kill him in the hope he'll regenerate like Dr Who ?. I'd go for Curbishley if Sven leaves myself.
I reckon "Curbs" is going to need a big club with big game players before becoming England boss. I agree, with you, he does seem to have the raw managerial clout required, but I think perhaps another five years' experience would be better for all concerned. In the mean time, Bobby is still a master and deserves a third bite at the cherry that is "La Coupe du Monde". Revelian
Robinson Johnson Campbell Ferdinand A.Cole Gerrard Beckham(c) J.Cole Bridge Owen Rooney Subs: Kirkland, Upson, Hargreaves, Terry, Pennant, Jenas, Defoe
