I wish Ecuador would pressure just a bit more. Espinoza is playing really good on defense, but he's made a couple of bad passes. Reasco could also pick up his game a bit. I would like to see De La Cruz go up field a bit more as well. Delagado...well....he's never been much of a ball handler or kicker and it shows in this game. Hopefully he will get more header chances. Ecuador must close the deal in the 2nd half. I would like to see more ball possession.

'La Tri' should really just clamp down and play defensively the rest of the game. There's no need for any more goals with this score. Don't get greedy. Protect what you have and you control your own destiny as far as winning the group.

Great day for Ecuadorian football. Could this be a new world power from South America? Ok, I'm getting ahead of myself.

Anyway, you guys should be proud of your performance, regardless of what happens against Germany or in the 2nd round. 'La Tri' looks solid, but the only thing I would be concerned about is Mora has not been really tested so far. You know Germany's strikers are much better than what he's faced so far. The only question with Ecuador is how will Mora perform. But who cares about that right now? You guys are through to the 2nd round! Congratulations!

True, Germany will score on Ecuador but if Ecuador can also score as they did today, then they will be able to win. This is historic for them, and wonder who could be their possible next oppent in the next round.
