The following ten coaches (in alphabetical order) are in contention: Massimiliano Allegri (Italy/Juventus) Carlo Ancelotti (Italy/Real Madrid) Laurent Blanc (France/Paris Saint-Germain) Unai Emery (Spain/Sevilla FC) Pep Guardiola (Spain/FC Bayern Munich) Luis Enrique Martínez (Spain/FC Barcelona) José Mourinho (Portugal/Chelsea) Jorge Sampaoli (Argentina/Chilean national team) Diego Simeone (Argentina/Atlético Madrid) Arsène Wenger (France/Arsenal)
Sampaoli would get my vote. He got a team its first ever championship, playing exciting attacking soccer, and did so without the benefit of a large checkbook to buy the talent.
1) Luis Enrique - a treble is a treble, and to beat Real Madrid, Atletico, Man City, PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus as he has this year is immense. 2) Jorge Sampaoli - won CA, Chile's first ever major title. 3) Max Allegri - won the domestic double and reached a continental final. This would be my top 3.
