Now to get this thread back on topic, and away from the tired "women's soccer sucks" takes. RFK to host opener; HDC to stage final Philadelphia is in. New York is out. Columbus still one of the 6 cities to host WWC games.
I wonder how much money Hunt can expect to bring in for each session held at Crew Stadium. I'm curious how the money works out - what percentage of the "basic" items (rental, parking, concessions, etc.) goes to Hunt, USSF and FIFA.
It's not just the money. It's the opportunity to bring in people who may have not been to CCS before, and may decide to come to Crew events after the WWC. It's great exposure for the Crew and for the stadium.
Hard for me to believe that Hunt sees much money out of this deal in way of ticket sales. Now concessions are another story.
Ah, diablo. Quick with the insults, not so quick with trying to see my point. A team who loses a match, does not necessarily suck. Got it? I can draw a ************ing picture if you like.
i think this belongs in the rivalries forum. it has no place to be in our crew forums. very tacky, i cant believe there is even a mention of womens soccer. how many of us are actually going to attend a womens match...even if it is in CCS?
It belongs here because it's being played in Crew Stadium. And on the advice of other BigSoccer members, I'm going to bow out of this senseless argument about women's soccer. This thread is supposed to be about the WWC and Crew Stadium, in a positive manner, however the neaderthals that inhabit this forum have to screw all of that up. If you want to talk about the positive impact of this upcoming event, fine. If you wish to bash women's soccer just to seem cool, I will no longer acknowledge those kind of inane ramblings.
I just read the whole thread at one sitting! CSPAN seems more realistic now. Andy for Congress. I'm a Troglodite, Andy. Careful with labels you dipquick.
C'mon, you all aren't going? Isn't anyone else gonna tailgate with me.....get wasted and hoot and holler at everyone.....This is a prime tailgating chance. Screw going to the game.
This has gotten way off topic. I'm sure you all can find better places to make fun of women's soccer. If you want to talk about the WWC coming to Columbus, go for it. And for the record, this has nothing to do with "certain people" complaining about it.
