I don't want to see the cheating team to advance either. That said, as an American fan hoping that the USA prevails against Japan, we've already faced Germany this tournament and I don't expect the same result there, plus I would LOVE to see Naeher block three and score one in a PKSO against Canada for a third time in a row.
I can understand your problem, but Japan will take care of that. So you can proceed rooting for Germany vs Canada, no worries.
OCanada should be extra motivated to play harder after the drone incident. The players are not to blame...No team with 6 points docked can survive before and the whole coaching staff sent home.
From now on, they can not be called "cheaters". They paid the price and moved on. The good thing is they are still here, not kicked out of the tournament.
Leon is clearly an Op..there’s no way someone can blow so many chances in one match. She needs to be investigated.
Lol I knew I couldn't be the only one who noticed Leon's Player of the Match performance for Germany. Completely selfish play on that chance in regulation, literally just had to lay it off to her teammate and that's a certain goal. The thing with being selfish is, if you don't pull it off, you just look like an idiot.
Lol, and now she even misses her pk. Just the cherry on top for her performance (or lack thereof) today.
She’s an idiot just like you inferred. You can’t convince me that she didn’t do that on purpose. And now the US is guaranteed a medal.
Leon had an easy goal if she'd just lofted the ball over the keeper, who was WAY out of her goal. Terrible decision not to chip---and she muffed the chance! I don't know why so many veteran female forwards don't chip the ball. Ironically, Schuller did try a difficult chip on her good chance early in the match when she probably should have just sent the ball on the ground to the far post. She was close to goal and that made a chip shot difficult--and she skied it.
