I change it to Laura Giuliani's avatar when she played for Juve.

I had told you it could get ugly. 4-0 at 34' with an header by Cristiana Girelli. I hope Roma will want to play at least the 2nd half.:unsure::unsure:

Could have been one of the two (most probably Camelia Ceasar), but I read it has apparently being given to Lindsay Thomas anyway.

    Juventus 4-0 Roma at HT.

I could miss the final minutes of the 2nd Half to have dinner, but I doubt they will be particularly thrilling or meaningful. :cautious:

Roma was clearly gassed at the end of the league and they barely managed to salvage their 3rd place from Fiorentina's assault, but I didn't expect them to crumble apart this way, especially if you consider that Juventus too had looked tired and out of shape in the title pool.

Well, I wonder if Roma will at least manage to score a goal in the 2nd Half, to make it less hurtful :cautious:.

Yes, at 85' though. Or do you really want Roma to be back in the game? :alien:

Looks like attendance is about 7000 or 8000 supporters. So, in the end, as I had supposed, Sinigaglia stadium is indeed aptly dimensioned for this game.

Two changes for Roma at HT: Evelyne Viens and Alayah Pilgrim for Sanne Trolsgaard and Benedetta Glionna.

I'm neutral and would have no problem if Roma score some goals.

Ok, I stop watching, at least for some minutes, but, although Roma is trying hard, I don't think I am going to miss too much

    Juventus 4-0 Roma, FT.

Many tears at the end of the game for Roma players, not only because of the loss, I guess, but also because it's most probably the end of a cycle for Roma and the team could change a lot next season.

Elena Linari had to be subbed-out because of an ankle-injury: it's quite worrying for the National Team, let's hope it's nothing really serious.

Italy will surely miss Giulia Dragoni at Euro 2025 instead. It has been said that she wasn't here today because she suffered an injury in the league match vs Inter and just had surgery for an ankle-injury, with 4-5 months needed to recover.:cry::cry:

The highlights (I swear they come from FIGC's official channel, although the comment is different from the one I followed on TV and for sure it doesn't sound neutral ):

A quick update about the U-17 Euro Championship. Italy lost by 1-3 to Norway in the semifinal (Norway was eventually beaten in the final by the Netherlands). Highlights.

A good tournament anyway, giving Italy the pass for the WWC.

There is a rumour that Sofia Cantore could be going to transfer to NWSL, at Washington Spirit:
    https://bsky.app/profile/jennatonelli.bsky.social/post/3lpmdbr4dvc2g

On one hand, it would strip the Italian league of one of its top talents; on the other hand it would be a sign of the good level Italian women's football has reached, since players at the peak of their careers start rasing interest from high-profile international clubs. :coffee:

It can also be a good omen for Euro 2025: maybe they want to seal the deal as soon as possible, fearing that Sofia Cantore's value could raise after she plays in Switzerland. :)

Must say I'm a bit pessimistic. It's a major blow to the leauge that the MVP and best italian player goes abroad. You're used to foreigners come and go, but the best italians has stayed before. Bonansea turned down Lyon at one point and I guess Giugliano has done the same. Now it's beginning to look like a small trend with italians going abroad.. Also I'm negative cause I think it's much tougher for the players abroad, ofcourse the level is higher, but I feel domestic players often recieve more trust at home than abroad. Swedish top leauge has since long become a transit leauge and nowadays a great number of talents sits on the bench in the big leauges of Europe, like Blackstenius, Kafaji and other lesser known players. I hope italian leauge doesn't end up there. On the other hand it's understandable if italians doesn't wanna go and see womens football and investments doesn't come, it's probably better for the players to go abroad to do bigger things.

I must also say I'm sceptical of USA as a football country, I don't lke their style of football, too much focus on athleticism. I think Europe is superiour to USA in terms of football style. Anyway it's understandable for Cantore personaly, USA got the biggest crowds and salary is much better. Good for her. On a positive note, the level in USA is ofcourse much higher than italian leauge, it's the football style I obect, and Cantore may grow from the high intensity if the leauge and of the experience. It's an interesting expirement .We'll see what happens, it probably good to have a few italians out abroad and gaining different experience, I just hope it doesn't get becomes too many and not the best talents all the time.

Wait so US should not use their physical advantages? European football is slow, walk it up the field, boring style.

I guess "slow, walk it up the field" doesn't really apply to the top European NTs, but let's say we're going to see how the next international tournament goes. At the last World Cup, UEFA, as boring as you find it, had 5 teams out of 8 in the quarter-finals, 3 teams out of 4 in the semifinals and both finalists. Go figure. ;)

I respect that, each to their own. Also I don't find american football boring. It's fun with different style, but I'm more inclined to european style football. American football is a bit for like watching ice hockey, high intensity and straight at goal, there¨'s a charm to that for sure. It was a bit unneccisary of me to use the word superiout though, I apologize for that

Boring and successful do not mean the same thing.
