Torreira with a stupid two-footed challenge. Lucky not to see red. Only yellow.

We need a serious regrouping at the break.

Tell me again why we need midfielders instead of defenders or CM's?

Oh, and I've no problem with letting Ozil walk on a free. Losing his wages and freeing up a roster spot for someone who wants to be at the club is worth waiving any fee, I say.

This team capitulates so easily. A decided lack of steel. Frankly I'm not even fretting the likely absence from CL next year if only because I shudder to think how such a side would perform against stronger opposition. They need a roster makeover, sadly.

Saw the third goal. Safe to say we miss Xhaka. Never thought I'd say this in my lifetime.

Lots of blame to go around, but Leno not exactly justifying his #1 spot today.

One that is nearly impossible unless we make CL.

The two parts of your post are sadly related. If we lose out on UCL, we won't likely have enough money for a makeover.

Surely we can convert 4 unanswered goals.

    Now there's some sarcasm.

I loved the lineup before the game. Still love the lineup. The lineup let us down though.

I don't think we necessarily capitulate early. We've won some big games this year with some big performances. There is fight in this group, the group just isn't good enough.

I think the boss got tactics right in the start, but again, he can't stop players from having an awful game. He can ultimately only make three changes.

Unai is my guy. I'm going on record before #unaiout starts trending.

The sad thing is, wolves is legit better than us in some positions. That's sad. Moutinho and Neves are both better than Xhaka. Their wingers are better than our wingers. Boly is better than most of our centerbacks.

1-3. 11 mins to go. A bit to big a gap to close.

    FT: Wolves 3-1 Arsenal

Disappointed that a "strong" Arsenal lineup still looks so meek at times.

To entertain myself those last 10 minutes I did some quick maths! Within the Premier League Wenger's last 8 seasons ('10/'11 - '17/'18) ended with an average goals scored per season of 71.6. Through 35 games today Arsenal has scored 69 goals, so things look fair in that regard.

Defensively in that span Arsenal surrendered an average 42.1 goals per season. Through 35 games this year Arsenal has already surrendered 46 and might well catch last year's high of 51.

It appears the benchmark for top four is somewhere around the season goal differential mark of about +30 or better. Through 35 games this season Arsenal sits at the low mark set last year at +23. Given that the goals scored seems on part with many other years this is one indicator that the team needs to focus on keeping goals out more so than trying to score more themselves.

Okay. Off to mow a lawn.

I will say the 2nd goal for
Wolves looked off side. That 3rd one, meanwhile, was just sad defending/goalkeeping.
