We're currently being linked with just about every player under the sun, but I've yet to hear any rumours that I believe. One that might interest you folks on that side of the Atlantic is Oguchi Onyewu. He's also being linked with Birmingham, but I expect that they'll be linked to every player that we are. To be honest, as long as we sign better players than we did the last time we went up, I'll be happy.

Interesting to see Hahnemann released by Reading. With Murray almost permanently injured, and Ikeme also seemingly injury prone, we need back up, or competition, for Hennessey. Hennessey has had his ups and downs this season, and it doesn't help to have a keeper who's low in confidence between the sticks.

I'm actually tempted to bury my head in the sand (literally!!) until August - all this speculation gets frustrating.

Hey guys, just wanted to congratulate your team for winning promotion in such style. I had the pleasure of sitting about 20 feet from your away fans at Derby this past April (I was in the Derby guest box seats) and they were awesome. Hope you guys stay up. I have Ebanks-Blake on my team so he better not let me down ;-)

Now to wait for their first tie on FSC. From what I understand, they're on delay this weekend on Setanta.

EDIT: Yup, Setanta Sports, 5pm EDT (621 on DirecTV, extra package)

Anyone know if Setanta Xtra is available on DishTV? Just subscribed to Setanta but would prefer to watch the match live if possible.

    Hi guys,

Congrats on promotion, I have a mate who is a Wolves fan and he dragged me along to the DW Stadium last night to see you guys play Wigan off the park.

Yes it was only one nil but you could have had three or four, you are much better than I first thought.

Play like that this season and you will be safe no problem!

How do you think you will fare this year?

    unlucky today against Sunderland.

Gordon should have been set off for his handball and the result would have been completely changed around.

what do you think based on what we have seen so far are the biggest keys in order to survive this season?

Well, some would have you believe sacking the manager is the way forward... I'm not so sure. What would help is...
We get last seasons player of the year (Kevin Foley) fit again.
Kightly starts playing somewhere near his potential
    Ditto that Sylvan Ebanks-Blake
Matt Jarvis needs to start crossing the ball with a degree of accuracy

We need to beat the teams around us - who cares if Chelsea and Arsenal knock 4 past us - we need to pick up points in our next 3 home games against Birmingham, Bolton and Burnley. If we've got nothing against that lot then we really are in trouble...

Wolves have to also gain as many home pts as possible and try to squeeze out any away pts that they can.

That is what helped Stoke last season.

So none from one so far...
Very disappointing game on Sunday. We're doomed if we carry on like that...

Muddled team selection (Halford subbed after half an hour - not injured), long ball tactics to the shortest front two in the league etc etc. Simply not good enough.
If we're going to play the long ball, why not put the tallest striker in the league on rather than him warming the bench?

I shan't rant and rave but McCarthy is going to start finding support dropping really soon. I believe we will beat Bolton Wanderers at home next Saturday but we'll get naff all away at Man Utd, Tottenham and Liverpool so the Burnley game on 19th Dec is the other crucial one (I think they'll beat us).

This article from a local journo appears to sum it up:

No-one said it was easy supporting the Wolves...

Unless we fall 1 point from being saved which could have been possibly taken at ManU when ManU seems to be open to giving points away at this time.

Result or not this weekend, I don't like that and I would have been disgusted if I had travelled to Manchester as an away fan.:rolleyes:

Otasowie delivers impressive first EPL start for Wolves

The U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder has not only seen his stock rise at club level, but also internationally in Gregg Berhalter’s side. Otasowie made his senior debut for the USMNT in November which has since seen him make his first two league appearances for Wolves.

11th place Wolves next host Tottenham on December 27th before visiting Manchester United on the 29th, two major opportunities for Otasowie before the new year begins.
