I wanted to also say that we got kicked off the field at Shawnee Mission West yesterday. We found a new, and in my opinion, a better field with goals at Antioch Middle School on 71st St between Antioch and Metcalf. It's a nice field, but the grass is a little long.

 

The new field has a scoreboard also

 

yea, but the score did not go high enough, only went to 99.

 

Yes. We're on. Bring anyone you can. We'd really like to fill it up with as big of a group as we get on Sundays eventually. I think we're going to move it back to 6:30 to give people more time to get there from work.

If you don't see anyone there, make sure you check all the fields. One is always concealed depending which side you're on.

Despite the 20 minutes of monsoon we had this afternoon, we're still on for today.

 

I wondered about that, but since it didn't rain very long I figured we were still on. See you there in a bit.

 

Monsoon? I was in south Indepedence today and it didn't rain much at all.

 

It rained really hard for a short while and then the sun came back out. It actually helped cool things off a little. I think the fields will be fine.

Just so y'all know, I had soccer practice at Campbell and some of the goals are gone or have fallen down, probably from the recent storm. I don't know whether or not you use them at the kickaroud, but I though you guys might want to know.

 

What are the days/times of the kickarounds?
BenC, are you going to be at the next kickaround?

 

There's a kickaround Tuesday night in Lees Summit. I don't know the time/location of that.

There's a big kickaround Sunday mornings at Antioch Middle School (71st and Antioch). Next week's will be at 10 a.m.

 

The Tuesday kickaround is at 6:30 at Campbell Middle School on Colburn Rd in Lee's Summit.


I will miss next Sunday too, as I will be heading to KCI to leave for my honeymoon. I will be back the following week, but may be there closer to 10:30 depending on church, which I assume will be fine, cause we never start until about half an hour after the meeting time anyways.

 

So some people complain about not being able to be as early as 1130am, and you make it earlier??? Sheesh.

This weekends wasn't about the timing for me. I had to work Saturday, and that screwed up my whole weekend. I had so much to do and not enough time. Hence missing the Wizards game and the kickaround.

I should be there Tuesday though. Much easier day of the week and a lot closer to home really helps.

 

Why not just have it at 8am so I can make it? Ben, you can just stay up from the night before...

 

No sh!t, for someone that usually sleeps from 8am-2pm every day of the week, making it to a 10am kick around just isn't easy whether I party on Saturday night or not.

 

The Kickaround in Lee's Summit is on this Tuesday at 6:30 at Campbell - weather permitting. I will be there for awhile, but will have to leave early.
