Is Kerry Zavagnin okay? That didn't look too good. I was kind of embarrassed to be both a Polish-American and a Wizards fan tonight with all the diving. Wolff's dive was just sickening. However, he did prove to be extremely dangerous all night but his finishing was unlucky. He was IMO the most dangerous forward tonight, but he should've had 2.

Zavagnin had some nice moments and was very effective breaking up the Polish attack all evening. He had nothing to do with the goal Poland scored. His chips and passing were at least as effective as Armas' usually are, though he had a little trouble connecting with some of the non-Wizards. They got lucky tonight and we really did deserve the win.

I think he'll be ok. It just look like he took some cleats to the knee, and I'm more optomistic about that than say him twisting it. Likely he'll just have a bruise as opposed to a sprain/strain

zags seems to be taking a lot of crap from everyone who never gets to see him play regularly. i thought he had a decent-to-good game. most of the reasons for saying he wasn't any good was that they didn't know he was on the field. isn't that what a d-mid is about? the less you hear of them is usually a sign they're doing their job correctly. ok, he didn't create many opportunities on offense, but is d-mid really supposed to??? obviously, these are rhetorical. there was one really good stick on a polish attacker in the first half that really stands out to me.

He's going to need consistent PT with one or two really good games for the majority of the US fans out there to give hium credit. He had such a bad reputtion to start his career because he was so bad with the metrostars. Then he dropped off the map by going to the A-league and has been a solid contributor for the Wizards, but as mentioned above, D-mid doesn't get any credit so most people just remember his old reputation and are waiting for him to fall off the map again. I thought he played well, so the naysayers can go F themselves.

I am not too big of a fan of diving players. But I understand Josh's reasoning for this one. And if McBride would have capitalized on the opportunity we could've possibly won the game if everything else played out. While watching the game on tv though I constantly heard Rob Stone and Balboa talk about how they liked Josh's diagonal runs. Personally I would have liked to watch Mathis and Wolff together...they used to be a great combo and then we already had Beasley and Donovan playing...it might have been a good formation those four.

I personally like seeing Kerry out there. I was at the US vs. Mexico game in Dallas and thought he was outstanding. And I thought he did a fine job yesterday against Poland.
