    Damn, final is 2-1 Crew.

Wizards outshot 21 to 7. Looks like a repeat of last year, including giving up the late goal.

Columbus looked the better team in the first half. A mid-field skirmish in the 32nd minute threatened Red cards, but nothing came of it.

    Most telling was our line-up:
    Meola
    Brunt, Conrad, Burciaga
    Gutierrez, Gomez, Preki, Brown, Talley
    Dario, Igor

    Wolff on at half.

Wolff looked inspired with Igor, and had a great opportunity. Wolff chipped the ball behind the defense, and Igor ran on to it in the top of the box, only to trip over his own feet.

    Oh well. Next week.

Despite the final shot count, I felt the first goal was definitly against the run of play. The Wolff goal was nice.

We looked afraid to attack the whole night. We would get to midfield and just knock the crap out of the ball and hope we'd get to it, which of course we never did.

Crew on the other hand, attacked with purpose and creativity. We really need to find someway to attack and do so dangerously. Memo to Gansler...its okay to push numbers forward to try and score. It seriously looks like we don't want to score.

That is nothing new my friend. We scored one so Bob was happy with that and was ready to go home so the shell come up.
