Please merge if needed. So the new trend in the MLS is to go from carvenous stadiums to tiny a$$ "temporary" parks. I hope you guys get a kick ass stadium soon. Good Luck on Saturday. Not really http://www.kansascity.com/sports/story/348286.html
10,000 seats should be good for KC. Maybe 15 straight sellouts is not out of the question. Right? where will they play when Mr. Becks comes to town?
well if it's later in the season, I'm sure they could use Arrowhead, it would need to be ready for Chiefs season, so that could work.
I would like for someone with knowledge of this park to post a drawing of how it will look for soccer.
well here's the seating map, the article says they'd have to modify the right-center field wall and that the pitchers mound won't be in the playing area, so that gives you a bit of an idea.
and here's a rough mock up I did using paint, just adding a rectangular field. Not sure if that's how it'll be or not
If you know how big cab is how big would you estimate that field would be? I'm too many drinks deep to look it up and too lazy.
The article states that it'll be the same dimensions as Arrowhead and that the infield dirt bits will be sodded.
As someone who lives north of the river, this will royally $%^&* my drive time, but at least I don't have to drive to Sanantulsaronto...
Did they? (I honestly don't recall for some of the other prices) Because the single prices are up but season# is down.... 150 / 15 is only 10 per game (assuming 15 games)...that's for GA/berm. For bleachers it's21.67. The weird number is for the statdium seats. 405/15 is 27 which is more than the 25 for single. Last season our GA/Cauldron price was 15 per game and then later 10+3 if you got it from Sam. I guess it depends on how many of each seats are available and of course where the Cauldron is. For some of us at least. I know that some of you don't sit/stand in the cauldron, so it could affect your cost.
I am guessing with the addition of San Jose next season, there might be 16 home games. I am curious to know how soon the season ticket holders will get to pick out seat locations....there won't be too many actual seats that have sideline views. This is going to suck slightly, although my drive from Gardner will be shorter. Also, what is "berm seating"? I haven't been to CAB before, so I have no idea what this means.
For anybody who actually gets the paper, there was a drawing of how the field would fit into the stadium shown with the article. Looks to be a tight squeeze.
"Berm" is a fancy word for "hill" or "pile of dirt". It's just a grassy hill around the field where they let people sit.
I left my copy at my mom's house this morning so that she could read it, plus I don't have access to a scanner at work.....sorry. Hopefully somebody can get this done today, or maybe Sam has something he can post since the cat is out of the bag now. EDIT: try this link....the picture should be visible. http://www.kansascity.com/sports/wizards/
No need...here is a better link. The original article posted last night must not have had the picture yet. http://www.kansascity.com/sports/wizards/story/348389.html
Where do ya suppose the Cauldron will be? I'm also a bit confused on how this will work with the bullpens. EDIT: Nevermind. It looks like the bleachers will be infront of the bullpens (they are marked as the area in white in left field).
