So...trying to remember from last year: does MetroSports also mean it will be on Direct Kick for those of us not in the Greater KC area?

I thought this deserved its own thread, so I started one. Mainly because throughout the season there will probably be a lot of questions about the broadcast schedule, as well as comments on the quality of the broadcast, comments on the coach's show and so on.

love the Hartman quote at the bottom

Quote of the Day: Kevin Hartman
“Jimmy Conrad’s entire apartment never comes out, and we think it’s because they’re always playing that board game ‘Settlers of Catan.’ We tried to socialize with them the other night and went over to watch American Idol. But no one has seen them anywhere except on the soccer field. I mean I don’t want to make ludicrous claims like I’m cooler, but when I want to play a game I don’t necessarily do it on the board - I play games on the computer. But if we’re comparing the nerd factor of board games versus computer games, I guess it’s a toss up.“

I know this is early to ask, but will we be able to get advance tickets to this, since it is at BVDAC? Any idea yet on the cost? USOC games are usually $10 when played here, but these are only exhibition games.

You could just park in the Driving Range/Miniature golf parking lot just West of the field and watch for free......but who would be that cheap

I would rather pay $10 to sit on hard metal bleachers and have the sun directly in my eyes for several hours.....:D . Might as well get my $$ worth!!

I know, I know, I could STAND and cheer in the mini-Cauldron rather than sit on the bleachers......:p

I hear they've got this TBA guy that's pretty awesome.

Hopefully OG can use our YSA to pick him up. He'd be either a GA or an SI or a DEV, so long as he doesn't go on IR before he gets to MCI. Hopefully playing at BVDAC or CBAC or RHS for a year won't discourage him from coming to KC.

Moved it into town further. A lot of uproar, I can assure you.

Of course, the debate on the smoking ordinance put the Beach House uproar on the back burner.

Well.....maybe. The last time KC came back with an Argie attacking mid it didn't work out quite like you'd like.

not to nit-pick again, but wasn't Fabbro a forward?

    He was indeed.

(and there's a big difference between "nit-picking" and simply asking for "accuracy.")

I'm not going to assume the new ownership will be as bad at finding talent as the past ownership was. Until OnGoal proves themself one way or another in this area I prefer to be optimistic.

It wasn't the ownership that was finding those players, it was the coaches and scouts. Although your point is still valid, just switch OnGoal with Onalfo, Vermes, and anyone else that does scouting for us.
