Between the two, I like 'Wizards' better.       Still, it was kinda funny when back in 1996, someone on ESPN SportsCenter once proclaimed "Next on ESPN, it's the Wiz and the Burn in a urologist's dream." -G
Apparently they're in charge, as I now go into nightmarish flashbacks of the home opener. Anyway, Wizards. I believe it was Olberman who always loved making Wiz and Burn jokes.
it was that dorky white guy who is still on the station. he has brown hair and is in lots of their stupid arse comercials, younger, not skinny . i dont know his name cause i dont watch espn anymore i havent since around that time which for me if it was 1996 it was middle school. haha. anyways i remember it ohhhhhhh so vividly cause i was a pissed 13 year old . it was when they show the like 10 second recaps of the games they dont give a shi* about, "and in the eurologist bowl the wiz and the burn squared off" or something very close to that. eurologist bowl was used for sure though i remember that. later, and may god have mercy on espn's soul.
Call me old school but I still like the Wiz better. Hell I still call them the Wiz half the time anyway. <chant> Wiz on the Fire Wiz on the Fire...
I remeber that first season of it being the Wiz. I was 12, so you can imagine the fun I had with that. I like the Wizards better, but I still do say "Go Wiz" on occasion.
Wiz - Good Wizards - OK, but sounds like a basketball team. Zards - may sound OK someday, but still sounds dorky.
Wiz - Horrible Wizards - This is fine. Kansas City had this name when there was still a basketball team called the Washington Bullets. No, they weren't named after a song on the Clash's "Sandinista" album. Zards - You must be joking!
