A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Hope your holidays are safe and full of as much joy as possbile in light of our recent heartbreaking and unbelievable (still!) loss. May the comfort and love of family and friends brighten the glow of each and every one of you stars - especially the stars of SSV and their families! In about 12 hours I'm hopping on a big jet plane for Michigan accompanied by my three kids to be with my family. Mom says there's currently about 10 inches of snow on the ground! Won't be back until 2006 when the countdown will begin to BRING BACK OUR QUAKES!! So everyone please make the best of your holidays and have some fun. Cheers! yalpstel
Thanks, Becky, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone from me, too. And don't forget Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Funny--being so far geographically removed, this ripping out the heart of my fellow San Jose fans feels to me, as well, something distant and unreal. I'm sure it will come home much harder when I feel the need for a shot of real soccer action. Oh, well. I want to believe that things will turn out even better for the Earthquakes and its fans in the coming year, with a local owner and a more stable situation, and with the Dark Forces of AEG gone from our presence. Happy New Year!
Happy Holidays one and all. Clearly, the very best fans MLS has ever had. I am completely gutted by the moving of OUR team. I'll be in Silly Valley over the xmas weekend. I think I'll be drinking a lot. QUAKES FOREVER!! - Mark
Happy Holidays, one and all! Too bad that this has to be a blue Christmas...and not Quakes' blue. However, I believe '06 will lead to more forward progress in getting a stadium and the new owners we have wanted for years. Even though there are articles and oped letters galore stating how there is no way voters will approve a plan for a stadium, it always seems that whatever the politicos want, they ultimately get...nothing ever goes according to plan. In this rare instance, that may work in our favor! By whatever means, I remain hopeful.......besides, what good can come from giving up?!? A Quakes' return, a new local owner and a shiny, silver shovel in the ground somewhere in the Bay Area are already on my Christmas list for 2006! I also hope that when the team returns, we somehow work in a banner with the slogan "Believe" in our crest somewhere. Slainte!
Happy Christmas and hoping for a very "new" blue New Year... Its been a tough finish for us all, but, a New Year will start a new dawn. Here's to us all being back next year... -Richard
Talk to one of the mods of these boards... It was either that or the clown from the Twisted Metal video game...
Happy Holidays everyone! And those of you who are far away, like Yalpstel and Urawared, travel home to us safely. - Holly

It's already Christmas Day over here, has been for almost 12 hours now, so let me say Merry Christmas to all my Quakes compadres, let us be thankful for the team we have had so far, and let's hope that in the New Year things turn out a lot better, organizationally, than what they have been in the past. :hollysprigandmistletoe:
Happy Christmas back to my home County and to all true blue and red Quakes fans everywhere!! -Richard
