Nextel did get the naming rights to the Washington Sentinels' stadium, though. ;)

    I think this kills NASCAR.

Those rednecks relish every opportunity to be politically incorrect. Losing Winston takes much of the fun out of that.

    Move Talladega!

All I want to know is, can these guys race and talk on their Nextel's at the same time? NOW that's racing.

I work with construction guys, a lot of whom follow NASCAR and use DirectConnect...

So, is it going to be the Nextel Nationwide DirectConnect Series?

    Wow.

A little bit of NASCAR's "White Trash Factor" died today.

soccer had the fan base, corporate sponsors, and TV rev that nascar does. Pick on nascar and the rednecks all you want, they are miles ahead of us (soccer).

    Rednecks enjoy redneck jokes.

The MLS demographic - all pinko commies, of course. Accepting everything the feminist empire wishes to cast on us, undoubtably. Plus there's that tendency to fly off the handle at the first sign of discouraging words, even words not actually uttered.

    Interesting.

However, there are NO unemployed NASCAR fans?

Since Winston now has some endorsement money to throw around, how 'bout the new Houston MLS team taking the name Houston Hackers and being sponsored by Winston?

And from what I read in the paper here, Rockingham is about to lose a race as well.

A $700 million 10 year deal is one helluva big deal.

    One can only dream...

Is that for Lebron telling America's teens to not light up while wearing Nike shtuff and to be sure to carry a Nextel phone?
Damn, dude is bigger 'n' Shaq and hasn't played an NBA game yet... does anyone watch those games anyway or are they 2 hour commercials?
