There are at least two quality soccer teams in the NY-NJ area 2002. For one, the LI RoughRiders the season ended by winning the Division 3 (D3 Pro) championship of USL. The second is St John's University which is currently rated #1 in the D1 polls. Coached respectively by Paul Riley and Dave Masur. Either coach would be a big improvement over OZ.

The only former member of either team currently on the Metros is Paul Grafer. I'm still annoyed that the Metros did not pick Buddle two years ago. As for the Johnies, I don't think they have even a single player in MLS.
