Pro Evolution/Winning Eleven was the #1 game on a british top ten video game show. One of the reasons was Winning Eleven was more like real football (physics, accurate pace and scorelines) whereas fifa was more for instant gratification. Agree or disagree?

Completely agree. Winning 11 for the PS2 is simply amazing. The only downside is that there is no fifa license so some of the players have false names and there are no "real" teams. They give a team with a different name and stadium. Example - Man U is called "Aragon" and they play in Trad Brick stadium(which is supposed to be Old Traff). Same players just not Man U. Same thing with about 40 other sides.

Winning 11 feels like football - and I actually worry about what lineup and formation I'm sending out, and subs.

yes, that is a good idea ... honestly, it is the best 39.99 I've ever spent on a game. I pre-ordered it and picked it up the first day but didn't play it for two days because of the editor. I created all of the flags and uniforms plus the real names. To some that's a flaw in this game but I actually enjoy doing that stuff. Here we are about 4 months later and I'm still playing this game non-stop. I really hate the referees though.

PS - print out the manuals and tips at gamefaqs.com

Now if only WE6 could get the FIFA license it would be even better. It would help if they also included the current club team lineups instead of older ones. I still play ISS Pro Evo2 on my Playstation. I refuse to get a PS2 because I received last X-Mas the superior X-BOX. Maybe when the PS3 (2005 or 2006) comes out I’ll get it instead of the X-BOX 2. I also play FIFA 2003 mainly for the graphics; the A.I. for that game is atrocious.

EA better do something quick. The FIFA license expires for them in a few years. The best FIFA game was FIFA 98. I just played that last night on my computer, it rules!

it still doesn't compare to Winning Eleven (any number). As for the license, it would be nice but it's not too bad because you can do it yourself with the editor.

but even with the editor it doesn't have the sponsers and you can't make the kits look exactly like they really do.

Yes I know you can if you make a clone of the disk and import image files and yadda yadda yadda but for the common person at home it's a real bummer.

I could really care less about sponsors, and the kits I've made look accurate. I mean really, do we want to play the game or look at kits. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for them to have the license, but it just doesn't matter as a whole. The editor is good enough.

well when you look at FIFA's kits and graphics it spoils you and it's hard to go back...

just like WE6's gameplay makes it hard to go back and actually play FIFA.

So yes, I think graphics are a part of the game and I wish Konami would put more effort into graphics and make more options available for the kits.

Does it ave any effect on how much I play the game? No. Would it make the game even better if you could add sponsers? Yes.

Agreed. It's all about the football, which is what WE6 is about. Gameplay wise WE6 wins hands down. It's the only footy game that makes me feel like I'm actually on the pitch and celebrate with joy when I score or hang my head in shame when I hit the woodwork. From what I read about the upcoming Fifa 2004 though, it seems that the guys at EA are finally thinking about real football rather than arcade football.

We'll have to wait and see.

Options, features, and number of leagues/teams of World Tour Soccer 2003 (This is Football 2003 in UK) + Graphics, sound, and licensing of FIFA 2003 + Gameplay, tactics, and ball physics of WE6 = The Perfect Footy Game.

I believe Fifa 2004 will implement CM4 type management features.
