This game is amazing, the best football game ever.

It's annoying they released it in Japan only 2 months after Pro Evolution Soccer 2 was released in Europe. I had to get it though!

It is so much better, it's one of the greatest games in history, and the greatest sports simulation ever.

The US version will NOT be this one, which is a shame.

Well we don't have it in Europe either unless you import or download it!

Konami have taken the Pi*ss even more with Europe. It's not just the fact that PES2 is now an inferior product, it's the fact that the games were only released 2 MONTHS apart. They could easily have released it in Europe too.

WE6FE has all the correct transfers that PES2 didn't have like Ronaldo at Madrid etc. The Gameplay is a lot better now, especially the ball physics and shooting.

Konami need a slap, Europe deserves the best!

In peru, some kids know how to program their own games. So while i was down there, I was playing winning with all the updated rosters, with River Plate beating Real Madrid 5-0.

    hahaha. bow down.

Yeh, I use the rap4sody patch which almost everyone who has WE6FE uses.

It adds real kits and sponsors on the shirts which look great, just like FIFA. It also translates the entire game to English and updates any recent transfers.

    Yikes.

First you need to copy the CD\DVD to your hard disk using one of various programs available, or you can even download the CD (Naughty naughty, I won't tell) ;)

You then need to download the patch, and get a prgram like PPF which will let you apply it to your CD image.

You then burn the CD\DVD image to a CD-R. or DVD-R

Some DVD's fit onto a CD, so you can still burn them to a CD-R like me if you don't have a DVD burner.

That's a very basic description, I'll try and post some links here.

Is this plus the Rhapsody patch everything necessary to play WE6 FE on US-made PS2s?

I'm considering getting someone to burn me a copy, because Konami doesn't deserve my money for refusing to simply market the same product here that they market in Asia, with language changes.

If any of you want to know how to get the game online, email me.

I'm not sure if there are South American patches yet, but there will be I'm sure. There might be a Brazilian one, I'll have to check again.

Auria, it's a disgrace, I already paid £30 for PES2 only 2 months ago, I wasn't going to pay again.

Actually i was quite disappointed with it. I've played Winning Eleven since the Winning Eleven 3 days (around 1997-98) but every year or every new Winning Eleven, the updates are quite lackluster. Other than the ball/player physics, graphics, crowd, in-depth stadiums, and pro club team are still no match to FIFA (I hate FIFA by the way). I said this somewhere in another post, but i'd like say this to Konami: "watch out for FIFA". I feel like one of those game reviewers now but I think its about time for a truly NEW Winning Eleven. Thanks.

Re: Re: Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution

What game are you playing because every game in the Winning Eleven series have improved with every update. FIFA is far away from Winning Eleven in terms of gameplay. WE6FE is the best game in the Winning Eleven series. Konami release 3 updates to the series every year and that's not counting the European release of PES. Now that is like four updates within a year in terms of improvement whereas EA only release one beta release of FIFA every year without any patches to fixes the bugs (for PC). The only people who fancy FIFA are little kids who are impress with the graphic engines. Most of the FIFA fans I know are more concern about editing the game (for the PC at least than playing it). As far as gameplay is concern, EA is still light years behind KONAMI. You know what an EA producer said last year about FIFA2003? He said that biggest improvement to FIFA was separating the ball from the player's feet because this allows more authentic gameplay. Wow what a discovery? KONAMI has managed to do this since WE4 which is about 8 games since WE6FE. I will look for FIFA to improve in the gameplay department but that is not EA directive. EA wants to market the game to the casual gamer, so the game will never be a true footie sim.

No as i said i never ever questioned WE's superiority. But the look and gameplay of FIFA improved quite a bit. Final Evolution? yep. Hands down, i'd play WE over FIFA but still...i think WE's system is gettin pretty old. At least thats what i think.
