One point from nine matches. Now it seems that every player on the squad is Championship level. For me, it's the same problems we knew we had since the beginning of the year: No PL striker. No #10. Backup keeper. Weak at left back. In five of those matches we didn't score a goal. Get a real striker, not a potential striker, not a rehabilitation project, but someone we can count on some production, and we should comfortably avoid relegation. If Ashley wants to sell, he needs us safe. Let's see who arrives in January to know how bad it will be.

    Burnley 1 - 0 Newcastle
    Newcastle 0 - 1 Bournemouth
    Manchester 4 - 1 Newcastle
    Newcastle 0 - 3 Watford
    West Brom 2 - 2 Newcastle
    Chelsea 3 - 1 Newcastle
    Newcastle 2 - 3 Leicester City
    Newcastle 0 - 1 Everton
    Arsenal 1 - 0 Newcastle

Almost a 9 match losing streak. Decent efforts in the last two, but we can't score. Welcome to the relegation zone, but we will not end up here.

That was unexpected. One article I read said, “For a brief moment it felt like the mid 1990s in St. James Park"

    If only...
