Oh mighty Nick, you have fallen. Unwilling to promote the USOC? Wilt was able to draw a crowd of 20k plus for the Fire to do the double in 98, and that was an amazing atmosphere. Why can't you do the same? How about not being shown up by that Peter Hawkings look-alike Wilt and put some real promotion into this match. Winning hardware in front of a buoyant crowd will look good on the news channels but also will win over fans. This is the type of advertising that wins support: Being able to play for a Cup that means something. This could win over more fans then any doubleheader or Heritage night. Do more then just e-mails and web advertising, Nicky boy, this is our chance to earn respect and fans and some momentum for the playoffs. Implore AEG for some extra funds on this one. Also call Zoffinger and see if he can't promote some too. And plenty of commercials during the Metro Soccer Report and home matches wouldn't hurt. Hype this thing up.

Don't let that little goober weasel Wilt outshine you. We can draw more then 20k for this event, but you have to lead the way.

This card is off center by at least 30%, hence Near Mint/Mint instead of Mint. :(

Maybe so, but Clyde's teams beat Wilt's teams in two out of the three championship series they met.

  7. If Nick can't get 25K for this match, he should be fired (or traded to SJ).

  8. You gave this guy a RED CARD for this? He/she only has 1 post?

I think he was carded for butchering the spelling of Amado Guevara's name (0 for 2).

Seriously though, you are only allowed one user account. If you create another account (called a sockpuppet or sock for short) it should be carded as soon as it is detected, regardless of the content of the posts.

So, that is likely why the red card happened.

    Huge turtle found

BULACAN, Bulacan - A three-foot long green sea turtle, believed to have come from the waters of Palawan, was recovered by fishermen from a river in Barangay Binuangan in Obando on Monday. Armando Guevarra, 47, of Barangay Tibig here, said he and his companions thought they caught a huge volume of fish when they pulled up their net. They were surprised to see the turtle, which the regional Department of Environment and Natural Resources said weighed about 150 kilograms. The turtle was taken to the rescue center of the DENR's Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau office in Quezon City after it showed signs of weakness. -- Carmela Reyes

There is a world of difference between a man named Armando, and a man named Amado.
