Tito made a comment about PW in this week's The Clean Sheet regarding having a good chance of re-signing Armas and Thornton, not so much of Boca. Here's the BH article: http://sports.bostonherald.com/soccer/soccer.bg?articleid=82
[voice of 'Data'] Inquiry: [/voice of 'Data'] Curious as to why the option on Andy Williams was not picked up. Is it a salary issue, a 'number of years contracted' issue, or some other issue? I think many Fire supporters would agree that he had a fine season in the main. Here's the operant question: Should Williams be signed to Coventry, would Chicago recieve an allocation? And would MLS recieve any sort of transfer fee for a player who has an option outstanding on his account? Cheers!
Re: [voice of 'Data'] Inquiry: [/voice of 'Data'] "...the team is still hoping to come to an agreement with the often-traveled midfielder" It sounds like AW is the one stalling, an effort to keep his options open while in England right now to make him more attractive, as if he were to go, it would be a free transfer. The Fire will likely leave the door open for a bit yet, but he may want to hurry his decision along.
