Will the beers now come with a nipple on top?

I love the beer selection at the games, but has anyone else noticed that the draft beers (Anchor, Bass, etc) now come in a much smaller child size, and not the nice pint size from last year?

    What's up with that?

    here here!!

i used to buy around 4 beers/game (2/half). now, i struggle to justify buying 1. first, the price hike last year, ok, maybe i can deal with it. now, no decrease in cost, but a decrease in volume, otherwise known as a defacto hike in price!

spartacus, if you're listening and have any control, be aware that between the 2 guys i always attend the game w/ and myself, these new policies lost you sales of between 9-12 beers per game. i love the job you're doing otherwise, but we wouldn't be americans and consumers if we couldn't vote w/ our pocket-book.

    my $0.02 on the subject.

    cheers,
    battch

    GO QUAKES!!!

    Yeah this is bullsheeeit.

Quakes games were a good deal, and (now that the team has shown their improvement is not just a flash in the pan) it seems like fans are trickling back. But I'm dragging people to games so they can get fleeced? That sucks.

MLS needs to make sure their experience is a great value compared to other sporting events. Parking, concessions/merchandise and tickets have to remain down to earth.

Would somebody mind replaying the basic argument for buying food and drink at the games? I'm not sure what kind of a deal the Quakes have with Spartan, and how vendor sales affect it.

I'd rather pay more for a larger beer. We actually make them fill it all the way now...... NO FOAM!!!

A subject close to my heart. The fact that the prices went up is just simple economics but to shrink the size of the cup from 14oz./16oz. to 12oz., while raising the prices, is criminal at best. I don't mind paying more( actually i do) but don't go cheap on me and give me less because i'll just drink more out in the parking lot and refrain from buying beer inside spartan. We have the best beer selection in the country, just don't sell us short on it.

Here here! Not that I want to pay more but I would for the larger beer. Trying to take two into the stands almost garanteees at least some of one of them will get spilled. It never tastes as good off the bleachers.

As a non-beer drinker (practically) I offer you this bit of advice:

Drink more beer at the tailgate.

(It seemed to work for Alexi last week.)

$5.00-$5.50 a glass (plastic). I think one of the premium draught shops sold for $6.00, but I'm not clear on that. I may have been drunk at the time. :)

yeah, I tried that for the home opener, but I found the excessive binge drinking right up until kickoff leads to a very vague recollection of the first half...

    Comparison

It could be worse, I paid $7 for a 12 oz bottle of beer at Yankee stadium from a roving purveyor.
