I'd love to see him back to provide extra cover even though I think we're ok at CB with a fit Boulahrouz and Mathijsen. Course we could use Stam at RB too.
He quit to concentrate on club football and his family, so he said. Which is fine but I'd love to see him in the WC squad (but only if he plays in some qualifiers first and not just parachuted in). But I think that ship has sailed.
It's sad that he's gone but there are a lot of good upcoming Central defenders for Holland. Mathijsen, Boulahrouz, Vlaar, Zomer, ect.......

mathijssen is wack...matter of fact...he is usseless overpaid and his defensive skills dont even excel the relavating capacities of a flying monkey with a wig in a particularly tight pink gimp suit....
