here in a gathering with his fans he compares himself skill wise with nakata and zidane and his face with beckham.

how many goals did he score in WC2002?
how many goals did he score in K-league?
    how many goals in Agames?
what medal did he get in Agames?

this coming after like a few days after their defeat...
he thinks he's Agrade material... but i hate the fact that he doesnt have to go to the army becuz the real great korean players brought him along the ride during the WC

LEE CHUN SOO SUCKS and BLOWS and SWALLOWS

Can we get a link to the quote?

Regardless of his skills, he's quite ugly, nowhere near as pretty as Beckham. :p

great stuff. based on my own judge, ahn was the best looking player in korean team. now ahn's got a rival who thinks he has better looking than beckham.

I do respect Lee Chun-soo as a player and I think he has great potential, that's for sure. I mean he was dubbed in Korea as their "millenium special" right? He has tremendous speed, great dribbling skills, pretty good shooter (he's improved a lot on free kicks, and Casillas and Kahn did have to do REAL well to save those shots in the WC...) and great stamina... he has all the tools, but his arrogance and attitude can limit him from reaching his potential (we already know how foolish he was during the olympic games when he got the ban) seriously, he should back his skills up first, THEN talk all he want... cuz right now he's nowhere near the league of Zidane or Nakata (i'm not even going to comment on the Beckam thing... he's one ugly dude)

    True... :D

    Lee CS: Millenium special
Ahn JH: Lord of the Ring/Terious
    Seol KH: Seolvaldo
    Lee DG: Lion King
Song CG: Cookie (I still dunno where this comes from)
and they have one for every other players those are just ones that I know off my head... haha

Lee does have good skills... u gotta admit... but he's too damn cocky for his own good ur right...

Lee Chun-soo has speed and pretty decent techniques, but to put it nicely - his size, strength and 1 v 1 dribbling skills are definitely not world-class at the moment. I don't remember him dribbling past many defenders during the WC, which is something a winger of high quality should excel at.

As for his looks - if he can be comparable to Beckham, then everyone should call himself David Ginola !! Please....who gives a damn about looks. Soccer is not beauty pageant.

He's a pretty good dribbler... well I've seen him in K-League games and other games, and he's alright... but he's definitely no Diego Maradona or anything, best Korean dribblers are probably Lee YP and Ahn JH... but Lee's not bad I'd say. But he's still a long way to go before he's a world class winger.

As for his position... I'd say he performs best at the left wing position... alright as a LF in the 3-4-3, but he was a bust in Playmaker position (it was tried out several times)

Those moves he pulled in the North Korea vs South Korea games were SICK! He was literally toying with 3-4 defenders....

    who cares??!!!

let Lee chun-soo talk. Are you offended that he considers himself better looking than Beckham? If it isn't affecting his soccer then worry about something else! I think Ulsan trying to juice money off of Lee is more dangerous to his career than Lee's cockiness. If anything we need a player with arrogance on the Korean team.

Yup I think Korea_Fighting posted it up a while ago, but link is dead now, unfortunately :(

Maybe I can still dig it up from somewhere... if I happen to find something I'll post it for sure.

I don’t know what’s more disturbing, this thread or the old “how long should Ahn’s wear his hair” thread

I agree with Chachi King. Lee Cheon-soo isn't horrible but neither does he excel or stand out. If it wasn't for his humor, would he shine? I'm sure at a serious moment, he would put is modesty in front of anything else. Nothing bad about talking and nothing wrong with having confidence. Let him talk. I find it amusing.

    my two cents

Yeah, I find him a bit amusing too. Perhaps the joking tone doesn't come through in print too well. Who can take it seriously that he is prettier than Beckham? He would probably be a riot to hang out with having a few brews.

not that he can cross the ball... but i still agree that he is one of the best players in the team.

I don't mind his trash talking that much.

the Korean team has always been full of modest, nice, kind, stooping and gentle pack of players.

It's amusing to see one guy trash talking and lightening up the mood.
