Trialing with Lee Nguyen in Denmark?

Would've loved to hear about this from the Wizards or KC Star if true.

It'd be great to see a local kid do good here at the Wizards. I'd love it if Will John was a significant contributor to the team. But he still does need some development.

I personally believe he doesn't need as much development as much as he just needs more of an athletes body. He's so slight that any power league he's in he's going to be at a disadvantage unless he's way out on the wing. He needs to be in a finesse (sp?) type league like with certain FMF teams or South America.

If he wants to trudge it out with with Middies and Defenders that are bigger, taller, stronger than him fine. He'd have a first step on them but once you get pro, those guys know their limitations and thus superior positioning eliminating alot of those advantages. They then also stick to a rehearsed game plan and execute duty support to a T and in layers. He might look at a Ronaldinho type who isn't much to look at physically until you see the size of his quads, and then you realize that's just as much why he doesn't get knocked off the ball as is the general respect of his ball skills. Don't think defenders don't look at Ronnie and say to themselves, "not on my watch" every game and swear to get either the ball or player but poof they run him over, hip check, pull and hack and yet he squirts out with the ball.

Good luck Will, we'll track you best we can.

I guess he couldn't hack it in the Thursday Night Premier Indoor League at the Soccer Dome! As a player in that league, I know it is tough for new guys to make it! :)

Yeah, andy, I don't disagree about the "athletes body" part. Last year when KC signed the deal with Atlas I thought that Will John would be a perfect candidate to be swapped there for a player to come here to KC. I think that environment would be great for him.

Jeremiah White killed Randers FC this year. So its looks like randers FC needs all the help they can get with Nguyen and Will john.

It seems to me that size just isn't that important overall. e.g. Beasley and Adu

I know that should he leave the Wizards, I for one will be very disappointed that he didn't get time on the pitch. IMO we're overlooking some talent.

Then we're on the third coach that is overlooking some talent. John hasn't been able to break through under Gansler, Bliss, or Onalfo.

He would have been better off staying with the Fire. He was actually playing there. I really don't get why he can't find more success in the league. He's pretty damn athletic too, and can hit a long ball on a dime. At one point, he was doing so well with a youth national team as well.

I was actually hoping he'd get a chance and come in and play in Davy's position now that he's out for some games and see what he do on the flank.

I guess it'd be possible KC could counter offer, right?

Oz City says it's a done deal.

So just to recap: We've traded two players away, had two players transfer to Europe, and waived four others. And we have not brought a single player in other than the draft picks??? This is troubling.

That recap is true, but Will John and the 4 waived players had a combined 3 first team games between the 5 of them. All of them by John, that's not a big loss...

And from reading it, the only thing that verifies that he's leaving is his facebook page. Those articles basically state the same thing that the article yesterday did. That they were being offered a contract and they were working on it.

I don't blame him for being upset with no playing time. There was a complete housecleaning in the FO and coaching staff while he was here, which probably didn't help his cause much.
