We've lost our first two matches, but the manager has been sacked, and the team can look forward to a fresh start (or can they?). Two tricky away matches coming up (in Tirana and Tblisi). Will we win these two matches, and can we go on to achieve qualification from group 10? What do you all think of our opposition (Russia, Switzerland, Georgia, Albania), and what changes need to be made to make the goal of qualification realisitic?

I believe we can still do it. It won't be easy of course having got off to such a poor start, but don't forget the Swiss and Russians haven't played each other yet. Also we are definitely capable of beating Russia in Dublin and also winning in Switzerland.

As long as the new manager is a good motivator (Mccarthy's strong point), a good tactician (Mccarthy's weakness) and picks our best players in their best positions we will have a good chance at the play off spot at least.

I think we're capable of winning every match between now and the end, and given the fact that Russia, the Swis and Albania are fairly equally strong, they will all drop points. I'm very confident we can do it.

i'd say yes, if the players are up for it. our first two games were a disaster but IF we get the right manager then i think we can do it.

the game against scotland next month will be a good indicator.
