I think they will, analysing venezuelas campaign in WCQ and the venezuela teams in libertadores.

Granted, Chile hasn't been strong in the last few years... but wouldn't you consider Bolivia as the long-term candidate?

I don't think that Peru bbelongs in that group.

But I really think that Chile and Bolivia are fighting for that spot. If you put together their National team and clubs performance.

By the way, looks like Venezuela is going to play a friendly against Spain on August 18th. I hope that we don't lose 4-0 like Ecuador. (In minute 22 they were winning 3-0)

    bolivia owns that place

9th and 8th spots are belong to 3 teams in 2004: colombia - chile and venezuela, go figure that out!

please do not bring fifa rankings or qual ranks as of today.....recent History has a lot to do with this: copa America will help you find the worse of the 4teamsin my post.

[SARCASM] WOW that was really intelligent... all that info to back your statement off its just simply incredible [/SARCASM]

Anyways, if you really want to start saying anything intelligent and/or knowledgeable just look at the numbers and for that I recommend www.conmebol.com.

    Peru y tu?

efer...what's wrong with you?...we didn't go to the repechaje for 1 stupid goal (thanks to Chile & Peru by the way)... We won the Copa America, have had Colombian teams very active in the last several Copa Libertadores, and you have us as one of the worst....

you must work for the great Colombian press...un poco mas de orgullo!

let me make you a bet...Colombia will be amongst top 5 teams at the end.

If I win you retire as BS moderator....

I lose, I leave the board.

That's just using logic to bet on what should happen based on talent pool. That's being realistic.

Sure they played a sad Gold Cup...do you really care?

Here was the starting line up for the Gold Cup:

**EXCEPT for Perea/Mondragon -- all have been crap. Note, no Cordoba, Yepes, JPA, Murillo, Herrera, Grisales, etc, etc...

So don't compare those teams in those cups, when we didn't even have our full squad there.

COL: Farid Mondragon - Gerardo Vallejo, Jose Mera, Luis Amaranto Perea, Jairo Patiño ,, Harold Lozano , Giovanni Hernandez, Mauricio Molina, Ruben Darios Bustos ,, John Javier Restrepo, Jairo Castillo.

and Thank God we're done with Maturana!

uyyy hermano, why do you take it so far! I will love to take your bet and I sure HOPE that you win!

but, I want you to stay here and I be the Mod if you guys allow me to run it 3 more years (off course with the help or mr copa america, garcia and chaski or condor and diegoll).... I never say that we are at the low level of Bolivia....In fact I said yesterday that WE ALL AGREE THEY THE CINDERELLA OF THE area.

but, today, or in 2004, I have no arguments to place colombia awy from #8 or #6 (yet)
My orgullo paisa will like to see chile, venezuela and peru below us, but we still need to do better. When I mention copa confe and copa Oro: every game that colombian nats dispute should be a win, I take a tie with sadness, so did care about the results and the elimination OF colombian on the hands of Kaka in miami! So what games do you care and how do you argue in recent history that we are better than chile and venezuela?

I am gladd to see you here...

question for you: we all see the worse team in conmebol 2004 is bolivia
do not look at points in this quals or results from last copa america, copa oro, and tell me who will you rank at #6 to #9?

    2-argentina
    3-paraguay

    5-ecquador
    6 - COLOMBIA
    7 - PERU
    8 - VENEZUELA
    9 - CHILE
    10-bolivia

I think Colombia is still above Peru, Venezuela and Chile.
You cant denie the good job the colombian teams have been doing in Libertadores the last few years.

Is it me or now that Venezuela is playing good (got better) Conmebol is very even?

I think that from #4-#9 the teams are about the same.

I was not asking for the level of futebol..... do not mis copa libertadores, I am talking about the national team only.

I have no argument to put them above #5 yet! But, Hell I like them better man per man in each position than Paraguay, and the yaguas are one of the 3 best in 2004!

I wonder what peruytu thinks of this?

We have Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia as edges in south america. The other countries I cant see yet a lot of difference between them. You cannot point any of them as a so much superior team than the others.

you see that is the point, I guess that last comment by triCOLOR was correct....we know the top and the bottom

the other seven are for the take!

I do not agree with ecuador that high (it should be venezuela for the time being)
