Will Bayern Munich pull off the double? I say they'll get the bundesliga, and the cup and once again Germany will stand up for the champions.

Bayern's high favourite to win the double, but I doubt that they'll do. They are hardly back from vacation and turn out to be FC Hollywood again within days. Pizarro criticises Hitzfeld's tactics and threatens to leave the club; Elber says that he leaves Germany in 2004 and now Bayern wants to sell him in 2003; Sagnol returned from vacation having 3 kilos too much; Thiam sits in Wolfsburg saying "I am insider, believe me, the titles are everything but won yet"; they are playing an odd game with Wolfsburg to get Tobias Rau by claiming not to pay more than 1M although Rau already stated to sign with Bayern - but Wolf tends to play without players who'll leave the club and also in Munich the spot in the roster for Tarnat depends on Rau; already in the pre-season Hitzfeld is naming the players who'll play in his ideal formation... In short version: they are hardly back and have trouble wherever you look at.

I am hoping that Bayern overlook their next Cup opponents, Cologne, who are still undefeated in the second division and will probably put up a big fight against the 1st division leaders.

If they win the Bundesliga they'll be happy enough, and despite their lead this is far from a given, as Thiam has stated in this mornings papers. They do not seem to have great character, one bad result and their confidence will be destroyed IMO.

Forget about Bayern, for the second half of the season I'm hoping Leverkusen can recover from their poor start and finish as high up as possible, and of course the Loewen of 1860 can get a UEFA cup spot.

  6. I am expecting them to choke in the Pokal.

There is a lot of luck involved in any knock-out tournament.

Well looks like all of you were wrong after that 8-0 THRASHING of FC Köln.

The correct answer to this question is of course Bayern will win the Double. With a super disapointing Champions League, winning anything less than the double would be a complete failure of the season. Bayern will roll through the rest of the DFB-Pokal with ease, just like they rolled over Köln.

With Ballack and Jeremies healthy again dont look for too many people to get through the Bayern back and mid. And look at Kahns on going Zeit ohne Gegentor.

    FC Bayern München!

    Bis später

Actually no one is wrong, Bayern haven't won anything this season yet!

I was referring to the fact that everyone thought that FC Köln would upset Bayern in the quarters.

Oh my god, who thought that? I haven't heard anyone claiming it.

Bayern will pull off the double regardless of how much wishful thinking any Dortmund or Bayer fans have. After the CL failure the total focus is here and I dont see anyone challenging Bayern except an out of sorts Dortmund. It all comes down to Bayern staying focused and the BVB home fixture. As far as problems everywhere you look? I dont see the holes that some of you others are seeing.

Just reading that people thought FC Köln would put up a big fight against FC Bayern after knowing about the 8-0 score made me laugh hysterically. Hehehehe...still laughing! :D
