Actually, I think the Fever had one of the best logos in the MISL (I rated it in the top ten of all indoor soccer logos in The Great INDOORS a few years back).

I mean, can you mistake that for anything but a soccer logo?

I am from Wichita and used to go to tons of game back in the mid-80's and early 90's. Last month I actually had lunch with Dave Phillips who was the radio voice of the Wings and then the General Manager. He had many interesting stories for me and many more for later.

Yeah, Special Olympics and the Hartford Bicentennials came to mind for me

Terry Rowe is an agent in England. Dale Ervine has a fancy car dealership in Orange County.

Kevin Kewley is working for some soda distributer. My friend last saw him several years back stocking the pop shelves at the local Wal-Mart.

in readings dis a few weeks ago, an enjoying it, i truely do miss da wings as well. kinda like da tulsa roughnecks. a great team ta hate! basically outta jealousy. but, maybe bringin back yer wings is possible. withall da problems airbus is having hier in da eurozone (maybe de shouldnta stuck all da money in a flyin apartment building) de deceided ta sell, or try an sell, a few factories hier in germany. a company frum wichita, or somewhere in dat area, is tryin ta buy one of da factories hier. da company is spirit areosystems. de deliever ta boeing an someone else. god was dat big news hier. maybe de got extra money fer a team. maybe not da misl but maybe da pasl. jus think, witchita against tacoma or da roughnecks. witchita vs baltimore blast.
jus a thought. maybe livin in da past is better.
    or, hopefully not!

Is this THE Erik Rasmussen as he looks now? I think it is but I'd like your opinions.

I'm pretty sure that's "The Wizard". It's nice to see that him and I appear to have the same hairstyle now.

Again, it would help if everyone who signed the petition also sent a check for like $5,000.

Barring that, don't hold your breath.

You're hilarious Kenn... Actually yes, I have been in talks with the GM of the Wichita Thunder hockey team. He said that the owner of the Thunder, Horn Chen, is SERIOUSLY interested in bringing the Wings back to play in the downtown arena when it's completed in 2009. Our campaign has already made news on the radio and and the local news stations. I am sitting down with Chris Presson, the Thunder GM after the hockey season is over. We have over 1,000 members in our "Bring Back the Wings" Facebook group and have over 500+ signatures in a short amount of time. STAY TUNED!!!

If I don't find any decent private school teaching jobs then, I'll consider waiting to get my JD/Ph.D to work for the Wings....or a Ctown team.

    FACEBOOK!?!?!? I'm joining that group.

I guess I have been completely in the dark! I have not heard a word regarding the possibility of the Wings coming back. It's nice to see so many names on the petition though.

If we can bring the Wings back, I might actually have a teeny chance of playing for them. Hometown connections and all... heeheehee...

I just recently figured that out. He was there before my time though, so you can't really fault me. :D

I WISH that the people here would suddenly love soccer and that they'd build a stadium to have the Wizards come down here so I could actually WATCH them play.

But that's never gonna happen. So indoor is as good as it's gonna get.

    Horn Chen Google Search

seems like they should call him the tornado. He has left a trail of disaster across the midwest whereever he went it seems like.

I wouldn't call having the Wichita Thunder second in attendence while barely having a .500 record this season as "leaving a trail of destruction across the midwest"...
