Indeed. Is it likely T&T will win? Hell no! But one of the best parts of the World Cup is to see a few upsets and this matchup could be prime for one. I'd hope all CONCACAF supporters are pulling hard for the 4 countries set to represent our region.

At least winning some games and losing some is okay...but with Sweden not winning a competitive match in 7 months doesn't impress me either. Don't worry the Reds will bring it against you.
dont mean to be a party pooper, but comeon... there is no way in hell T&T will beat England. This is probably the best British team that has been in a WC in DECADES. I see them as serious contenders (but definitely not the winners). And please dont get me wrong. I will be behind all the underdog teams this WC (all African teams, except Costa de Marfil, the Aussies - gotta love them Aussie women, DAMN! - pretty much every CONCACAF team, including MEXICO - the perennial underachievers, and excluding USA - couldnt care less - I am PUERTO RICAN). I am a realist. T&T is light years behind England in quality. Again no disrespect. And Costa Rica has more chances of beating this young inexperienced German team. Germany may go far but it will not be because they will play good futbol. They are the hosts and they are a very physical/strong team - plus they have their classic never-give-up-till-the-final-whistle-is-blown attitude. How many times have they come back from seemingly hopeless situations and bit the other team in the ass.

48 hours and counting. I read a quote from Brian Lara stating how the Soca Warriors inspired the Windies in there victory over India in the last series, and how the team watched the Sweden match during the lunch break on Saturday. I hope that everyone watching these WC matches are also inspired by the heart and fight of these non traditional world cup teams and how they stand up to the European teams. I found the Sweden match to be uplifting and inspirational, and I am certain that we will bring that same will and fight to the England match. If you go to the socawarriorstt.com site you will notice how everyone celebrated with the T&T fans in Germany. Even the Swedish fans were celebrating with us. For that spirit alone we should win the match against England. WE DESERVE IT!
I also predict that what ever the outcome of this match it will be a clean match, and I also predict that the English fans will be extremely well behaved. Unlike many other cultures the Caribbean culture has been an intricate part of the English culture for along time. Eventhough the history of our poltical and economic relationship with England and Britian in general has not always been fair. I believe that in recent times our relationship with English people on an indvidual basis has been one of mutual respect. Although we do like the Welsh, Scots and Irish better Think of how many English people have their roots in the Caribbean. Think of how many English football players can trace their roots to the Caribbean. I see a great match followed by a great jump up.
