Is it really necessary for that many individual AO boards? There are 33 region-specific AO boards. There are a whopping total of 6 that have had their most recent post in the year 2012. It's annoying everytime I use the forum jump and I see all of those boards.
I completely agree. When a new forum is asked for, usually a lot of people will come to the "vote for this forum" thread and say they'll use it. At one time, the rule was "10 votes in 10 days and it's yours", but I don't know if that's true. It seems like someone got a bit happy with the "create new forum" button when it came time to create the AO forums.
Agreed. It does look ridiculous. If you could help and provide a list for consideration to be removed, that would help. Say no posts in the last several months (4-6 or so). A quick look and Bay Area fits that.
Sorry - these are their boards and it's totally their decision. Suggest y'all contact them if you think it could be improved.
Could you maybe make it so that the city/location boards are only visible from within the main board? That would clear up the forum list, but still make everything visible. (My guess is probably not, since that would somewhat defeat the purpose, but most of those forums are ghost towns. It does seem like a fair compromise though.)
Along those same lines, why do we have forums for a two-year-old tournament? https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=1458
